Question: What's The Lowest You've Ever Pulled?
NeedToJump replied to Kramer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Lowest main pull was ~2000ft, I feel better at somewhere above 2500.. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com -
The weather has been pretty good since we got over than initial east coast flood for the first 6 months of the year. This past weekend was just a recollection of that. The Ranch will be BEAUTIFUL for the last two weeks of August, plus the weekend of Aug 22 - 24 is pond swoop weekend, come by and check it out!

I didn't even bother heading out to the Ranch this weekend. FIRST weekend in months that I didn't even try to jump somewhere. I ended up just going out and partying with my whuffo friends which was actually pretty fun, but I'm ready for a skydiving weekend now Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Hmm, I think it would be pretty cool to be a shark. They're immune to almost every disease out there, they have those extra senses (like detecting magnetic fields) plus they're fast and agile and don't really have natural predators. Hmmm, I'm thinking Britney just because I think she's pretty damn hot, plus it would probably make for some good video Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

I've never jumped the silhouette so I cannot give you an opinion on which is better. However, the question of which is better comes down to personal preference. You could have everyone on here tell you one thing and you prefer the other. The best advice to finding which canopy you like is to demo them. You can also read about the Spectre and the Silhouette from PD's web site. I know this is not what you asked, but I hope it helps.

Hmmm, I have a Vector III sized for a Sabre 150 I have fit both a Lightning 126 and 143 in there without any problems. I'd guess that it depends on the container. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

It's called promo, hmmm, does that mean that they're coming out with their own video? A PD team video would look so nice next to my Out of the Blue DVD..

Question: Highest Pull Altitude?
NeedToJump replied to Kramer's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Highest is pulling right out the door at around 13,500 for CRW or cross country (plane could have been higher or lower, not sure exactly.) Normal is between 2500 and 3500. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com -
I see it as: The glass is completely full - half with water, half with air. You've always got something, you just have to look around and realize what.

Please be careful when jumping with Tandem's
NeedToJump replied to Rdutch's topic in Safety and Training
I enjoy jumping with tandems because I love this sport and enjoy seeing other people get to experience it for the first time. I have only jumped with friends of mine who I have brought out for their first jump and get permission of the TM and videographer (obviously) and the student as well. If you think that this is about the glorification of my ego, fine. I think it's about sharing one of the most meaningful things in my life with my friends. Please be careful when jumping with Tandem's
NeedToJump replied to Rdutch's topic in Safety and Training
I have jumped with and docked on a couple of tandems and before the jump we tell the student not to grab on to me, I'll grab onto them. I talk to the tandem master and the video person (if there is one) and ask them what they want me to do/not to do and all have gone quite well. It's great seeing your friends jump out for the first time -
