[/QUOTE] Someone correct me if Im wrong, but by loosening the leg strap you want to turn in you are slanting your body weight to rest on that leg strap, i.e. the low side, letting gravity do the work for you by putting more than 50% of the weight suspended on the side of the harness, then to the risers, connected to the lines, then to the canopy, on the side of the canopy you want to turn. can someone explain to me how there can be a blanket statement for the optimum WL of a canopy? How does a 100 pound girl and a 250 pound guy jump the same WL? This question I thought of while reading the SL thread currently being discussed. How often are the anchors/cord that you SL with permanent? I mean, you jump, you leave a peice of hardware up there, do you normally go back up and get it? Or do you leave it for next jump? I guess this sorta depends on the location/sensitivity of the site, but would you say its normal to retrieve any hardware left from a SL jump after the jump is complete? thanks for the info. Now that you mention it the times that I went right to track from a box position, i went seriously headdown for a second. I will mess around with it next dive. dont you think the ping pong ball would eventually work itself to one side, what with the density/weight difference. That would look pretty lame. If it stayed in place, then great. Maybe glue some sand onto the sides of the ball, that way if it did work to the side, it would still have sand on it so you couldnt tell.
