I'd see this as the company NOT wanting to get SUED which is a different issue all together. It effects cost of course but it a problem that the insurance company has to take into account. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Hey Gang, Just a note that I will be organizing at the Skydive Atlanta Halloween boogie. The dates are Nov 1-3 (Friday-Sun). We will have a Super Otter to jump. (They’ll have the King Air also) Trey the DZO is really pulling out all the stops for this event. • Registration $40. That’s for dinner Saturday night, beer, entertainment Saturday night. Organizing and videos. • Helicopter jumps - $75.00 • Bi- plane with video - $100 • Costume Party – winner gets free jumps all Sunday • Magic show, fire breathers…… I hope to put a good strong group of 20 together for Saturday. Jaclyn Donovan will be handling video, and Jack Donovan will be helping herding the cats. So if you’re planning on coming drop me an email Fortson@rose.net and I’ll add you to the list. (We will round up at 8:30 Saturday morning) Hope to see you! Be safe. CCH Fortson Rumble Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Last weekend at the Alabama state record event (Got it on the first attempt – 47 way and later went on to do a three pointer) I was struck by the two different record attempt formats. For a registration fee of $150 we had a low country boil with some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had one night. The other night the meal was just as good. Top shelf liquor and really top of the line champagne. Event tee shirt, video debriefs, excellently design jumps. Jumps to 15,000 – no O2 and jump tickets were $30 (I believe) I really like the format where you pay a bit more but you get a bit more and people stay around the dz. In a lot of events people can’t wait to pack up and leave the dz. Groups break up into a lot of small groups – normally the same people event after event – to go eat. I realize that big ways of any nature are getting expensive but to me I think the format to provide a good meal and time together adds to the event. What say you? Hell that quote is as true today as it was in 1935. The government CAN provide jobs as long as we the people provide the government the money (taxes) to pay someone. The government does not in large amounts create wealth (other than research) Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

At risk of getting banned but right up front and clear FUCK THESE GUYS that make simple SILLY ASS statements such as "a small fraction of people" don't like it. Anyone who has even the simplistic of NON-PARTISAN math skills knows that there are more than a small fraction of people have problems with Obama Care. Every large Obama favored corporation has been given waivers but not small companies. Congress got there waiver. It has been modified by the PRESIDENT to fix political problems that might effect his party. It's a shitty piece of written legislation that is NEEDED but NOT as written. Obama is rightfully scared that if its not implement now it never will be. Unfortunately his probably correct. He has no options because the damn right wing nuts will do anything to kill it. So your saying that because we (married people) pay a fee to get married, gay people should to? Why do you hate gay people??? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

FAI Sequential world record rules

Just spoke w Randy Connell at USPA. I believe understand....sort of. Hopefully it all settles down and they write it up a little bit easier to understand. As it stands I think it will be A LOT of work to admin, and people will be arguing about who really has the record. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -
So do you think gays should have to pay "a modest tax" to get married? I don't. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

One small point. Tunnel time is great and a wonderful tool. Confidence and being comfortable is an asset to a limit. When someone is really good in the tunnel and knows it then you could have a situation where they don't have the respect for the fact that in actual jumping you may very well kill yourself if you don't perform your EP correctly. That "oh shit" moment doesn't exist in the tunnel. Otherwise the tunnel is nothing but good IMO Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

FAI Sequential world record rules
mirage62 replied to mirage62's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My mistake was thinking that the record would be one record that was decided by a total point system. 200 way x 2 points = 400 (score) 100 way x 5 points = 500 (score) 50 way x 11 points = 550 (score) In the above the 50 way would be the record. Personally I think a 11 point 50 way (with 35% breaks) would beat the hell out of a 2 point 200 way. But what do I know Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

But how do you BEAT it? Someone does a 2 point 100 way. The next 100 way does 3points - They win. So in the 100 way "class" the3 point is the record holder. Aaaaaagggggg I can't believe that no one can't explain it in simple terms Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

If your right for example the world record would start at 100 people and you would have a record for 100 people X number of points, 101 people X number of points...... Seems to me that would be A LOT of records to keep up with. I've written the USPA and asked but no one has gotten back to me. Maybe it's a secret cause no one is really sure. Hey John...or anyone else reading this thread. So for a world record you would take the 400 way x 25% = 100 way so the attempt has to be at least 100 in size to qualify. Here is where I am confused: Group A does a 3 point 100 way Group B does a 2 point 101 way Who has the record? (FWIW I thought it was simple math Group A won based on 3points x 100 way = 300 vrs Group B with 2points x 101 = 202) Anyone? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -
FAI Sequential world record rules
mirage62 replied to mirage62's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sorry Im not being clear. I understand the grips rule. Just not the MATH of how someone breaks the existing record. I thought the number of points done had a relationship to the new record not just size. If size is it than when someone gets say a 200 way two point it would beat (for example) a 5 point 100 way. FAI Sequential world record rules
mirage62 replied to mirage62's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ok so if Kallend is correct that the 2 point 107 way could have been a record..... Than 25% of 107 = 26.75 rounded up = 27 So 27 people go and do a 3 point 27 way and the required 35% grips change and are not retaken in the next two points. Than the 27 way 3 pointer would be the new record??? Anybody want to do this math? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

Not looking for the record jump. I'd like to get the record rules. I believe that 35% of the grips have to change, but don't understand the relationship to the size. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

Can anyone point me to the location of the rules for this category? I have looked all over the FAI web page, and tried to find it on USPA.org but obviously I am a loser. To me this is a cool new offical record and I want to understand how these will be judged (POPS, USPA and World) Thanks Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -
Anyone notice that a lot of the bigger successful jump centers own their on airport. I'd guess that Deland is one of the bigger ones that DOESN'T own their on. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

But don't you see that's the problem. The law, is well ....the law, and your standard of a "decent society" really doesn't apply. I agree that GZ could have waited for the cops. It would have been better BUT legally he was well within his rights to do what he did. I've grown to believe that GZ wasn't very smart and that TM was just to hot headed. One got killed, so it sucks to be TM. If GZ got killed would that have been better?? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

You know after years of reading dz.com I'd like to get an old fashion "Rumble" together...... The groups are so well established here. Same old shit from both sides. "Tax thge rich more" "Cut all social benifits" Now TK's a pretty big guy, Bill Von....not so big (but I think he rides a bike a lot) Normiss is pretty big.....Kallend....well he can got to either team the wind will blow him over. I say we meet at z-hills run screaming at each other and settle this shit once and for all. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
