Sid, L&B sent is some optima's to try out at recent Deaf record jumps last October in Florida these had the LED and LCD visual alerts. They are perfect for us deafies and hearing people too. Nice. I been wanting to buy one but the LCD / LED are not avaliable yet. and some of gear store people think 'm talking about green chesse on moon when I call ask about it. they say nope don't make those... guess I'll have to email Mads to get one soon? if you learn to fly in a tail dragger its easier to transition to tri-gear like Cessna 172 but if you learn in tri gear aircraft like 172 its harder to transtion over to learn fly tail draggers...

well.. at Cuba mO dropzone.. we had to put up with shit from the Centeral conferance director at the time Bill Hayes always saying bad mouthing our DZ out gutter gear was bad vs his new DZ new gear etc etc so we wouldn't get USpA license to piss him off... everyone else evently did as they moved on to other dropzones... i still have my D license paperwork... never mailed it in.. but it was signed off 7 or 8 years ago...kind of late now..

True, however, I like having both manual and automatic options available. You never know when you might break your left leg or your right arm... knock on wood. I drove my ford truck home 4 hours away with a 5 speed manual and 3 bottles of Cornoa beer hanging from my neck (the beer vendors where giving out necklace bottle holders came in handy) glad I didn't get pulled over by cops!
