Overcoming freefall anxiety on SL training
mx757 replied to skydivermom's topic in Safety and Training
Kathleen, I started jumping and did SL. Relax. It's just like a static line jump, only you have to pull this time. Pratice on ground till you can reach that handle every time.., then when you jump do a good arch and relax.. one thousand two thousand... take your time you got plenty of time to pull that handle. I've seen so many student try to get the handle pulled they break arch , spin etc I agree it's normal be half excited about it.. but trust me.. nothing too it. YOU'll do Fine! -

she didn't get married yet Billy... it was local DZ girl. the Casa was due back to DZ in November, for DZ skydive wedding, but they wouldn't have time for the photos, so they did them now. I reminded the groom that there are 3 rings in marriage just like on our rigs... 1st Engagement Ring 2nd Wedding ring and 3rd the Suffering...

Mark, you forgot to tell everyone how great the new Optima visual warning alerts from Larson & Brusgaaud were! http://www.l-and-b.dk/ my Alitimeter broke on one jump at 7,000 feet but I still had visual flashing warning alerts at 4,500 feet 3000 feet and 2000 feet NICE too bad these were demo / protype unints from Larson & Brusgaaud for us to test and evaluate. a big thanks to Larson & Brusgaaud!! -
