1. Bill you got your example and Its not the only time a Muslim has commited an honor killing here In the U.S. That poor girl in I think it was AZ. last year. Her dad ran her down with his for a car for acting too western. Well what the fuck did he come here for? If you dont like western ideals then stay away. Don't bring your family here and then kill your daughter for becoming to western. Islam says its a religion of peace and love. Well just look at the Middle East. The birth place of Islam. They cant even tolerate people that read from the same book. How many different Muslim sects fight and kill each other everyday. Israel has been living with this for a long time and what is there solution? They don't sit around and try to play nice. Why is that? Because if they don't kickass, they will be wiped out. Everyone keeps saying...oh it is just a small group of extremist that cause all this trouble. Well, it was just a small group of Nazi's that in a relatively short amount of time grew to take over Germany, and made pretty good progress at wiping out Jews and taking over the world. Dom
2. The one above should work. I'm trying to repost it from my phone but for some reason posting links from my phone on dz.com doesn't work. Dom
3. Islam does a pretty good job of bashing itself. Dom
4. QuoteNo.. but they were really hard up for an ENEMY.. with the fall of the commies all over the place.... their whole thing was gettin pretty flacid. Nothing like a nice little war to support to get ther manhood back...Quote As far as the war. I dont agree with the war in Iraq. I think it was Bushes personal agenda. He saw an opportunity and took it. shame on him and shame on people that voted for him. I just dont like that guy. To be honest, we should have left Saddam in power. As long as he was around, the other countries over there had to worry about him and we didnt have to worry to much about them. Dom
5. http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/02/16/buffalo.beheading/index.html You must have read the post before I edited it and put this link in. There is your one example. Oh, her sin? She wanted a divorce Dom
6. Or it is an example of Muslim conquest. I mean they did lose the Cordoba back to the Christian religions eventually didnt they? Obviously someone wasn't happy with the peace loving religion the is Islam. Dom
7. No Bill. I think that all religion is just about money and power. They are all corrupt. Well maybe not the Buddhist. That is not true Bill they do.....http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/02/16/buffalo.beheading/index.html The funny but sad part about this story is that they guy started the TV station to Counter Muslim Stereotypes. Your right about that. I wont disagree, but sometimes you feel the way you feel. Dom
8. Hmmmm, kinda sounds like what they do. Actually they cut off yer head. The Quran says so. yeah, it is all the right wingers fault. Because they are the ones that blew up the WTC and the Pentagon. Dom
9. Wait till you get it home. The name will come to you once you see it's personality. My last dog was named Bubba. I didn't pick it, it just kinda picked itself. Dom
10. Still at work. We dont have speakers on our computers, no headphones either. Ill watch/listen tonight Dom
11. It was there before 9/11 right? So I guess it should stay. Do you know the significance of the the Cordoba name? That is what really gets people. Dom
12. Take em to the new center where ever that would be. Dom
13. It wasn't that no one cared Bill. No one knew about it. I watch the local and national news every night. Not a peep about it until lately. You mentioned this last week as well and said how far away two blocks is in the City. It is not far away. It is right there. Yes, there may be a few buildings in between but it is not worlds apart like you imply. I bet you there was ash and even some blood on that building the day the towers fell. To me and a lot of folks that is the WTC as well. Agreed. I don't listen to any of those people. May seem like it but I don't. This is and should have been a local matter from the start. Again, should have stayed a local matter. Maybe Ron Paul is right. It still doesn't change the fact the people are not happy about this. I believe the Cordoba group could have gained a lot of points if they had said. Look, we have the right to build...but...in seeing how emotional an issue this is and in order to show the world and New Yorkers we are sensitive to what happened here on 9/11 we will respect the feelings of others and find a new location that does not bring up so much obvious hurt to our fellow Americans. That would have been a nice gesture. Go expand one of the other center they have. Or, better yet take over the Muslim Revolution headquarters in Brooklyn and turn that hate factory into something good. Dom
14. I could say the same about the WTC Mosque. There are 100's of Mosques in this city that nobody messes with and they get along just fine. Even if they do have worshipers that have tried to blow up synagogues in the city. Yes that has happened in the last two years as well here in NYC and nobody talks about that. We are only asking them to build this one somewhere else. But they wont. Because they fell that their right to build trumps the feelings and pain of the same people they want tolerance and understanding from. Dom
15. You have to be the first person in history to use subtle and balanced when talking to Bolas. Dom
16. It is a clash of civilizations if you want to call it that. A lot of people travel to Muslim countries for holidays...your very right. Then they get blown up in night clubs. Or thrown in jail for making out on a beach. Dom
17. So your saying there are more Muslims in the UK and the U.S. then the rest of the world? Dont think so. Dom
18. Rhat? Who is he? I say that those Millions of Muslims are the exception and not the rule. I don't think I am alone in that. Sucks for the good ones Dom
19. That is my point. That would be just....well...wrong. The Army as I knew it. Never forced anyone to attend any religious service. Dom
20. Andy, you bring up the past. Yes America, especially in the 20's was extremely racist. Sure racism is still alive today. America is not the only country that is racist though. Everyone wants to make this into a race issue. I don't hate the people from the middle east. I simply don't trust the religion that most of them practice. In fact I don't trust any religion. Religion is all about money and power no matter how it is wrapped up and what bow you put on it. You cant deny that in present times, the most sickening acts we have seen have been committed in the name of Islam and not just against Westerners. I am not talking about 9/11 either. I'm talking about girls having their ears and noses cut off. I am talking about people being stoned to death for adultery. Wives being beheaded when they want a divorce. Hell that one even happened here in NY last year. The cutting off of heads of POW's and journalists. Blowing up night clubs full of innocent people. All this is done in the name of Islam. Islam as practiced all over the world seems more about blood and guts and oppression then anything else. I know we can talk about Catholic Priests molesting children (they should all be shot) and Christian's blowing up federal buildings and all the other horrible things that happen in the world that people do in the name of... (insert deity here). That is why I don't trust any religion. They all preach peace...unless the other guy disagrees with you, then OFF WITH THEIR HEAD. Unfortunately for Muslims, large portions of the people that practice it are still uneducated and that makes them very dangerous. Because they can be easily manipulated and will fall back on the only knowledge they have....The Quran....and the interpretation of those that taught it to them. It isn't only about not being educated though, as American born terrorists have shown. Western ideals and the Muslim religion just seem like oil and water. They don't mix and may never. Maybe it is like domestic violence. They say it is learned. It is a cycle that can be broken. Can Muslims break the cycle of terrorism? Can they break the cycle of INTOLERANCE they have against any and all other religions? Can they gain the trust of the world? It really is up to the Muslim people to aggressively make a change through out their religion and gain the respect that they want. Instead it seems that Islam DEMANDS respect no matter what. Well it doesn't work that way. Dom
21. It would have been fine no matter what religion the concert was for. They were not being punished. They were simply not allowed to lay around and do nothing. That is not how the Army works Bill. Not while you are in training. While in Basic especially, you dont have very much free time at all. If you choose to not attend one of these events. Then you will be doing something else. That something else is never just laying around. Soldiers in training do not get the luxury of having idle time. You are either training, eating or sleeping. If they had MADE them attend this event, then that would have been bad. To make them do what they normally would have been doing anyway is not punishment. I had to work and pull duty on Jewish Holidays when I was in the Army. Was I being punished because I am not Jewish? No, the Jewish soldiers where simply allowed to observe their religion and I was simply doing what had to be done anyway. It was not a punishment, it was just normal everyday activity for soldiers in training. Dom
