He's in the process of moving to the East coast. He'll be back in the Tahoe area during the winter to work on and possibly teach speed riding at a Tahoe area ski resort. From what he's said I don't think he has any plans to switch canopies/manufacturers, nor does he have any plans to join any other team. NorCal already misses him. -
In the near future I'll be upgrading my ancient 1.3 megapixel point & shoot digital still camera to a digital SLR. They ain't cheap so I want to be pretty sure that I'm going to be happy with what I get before I get it. It will be used for ground shots, mostly landings. It will not be used for freefall photography. I will be taking a basic digital photography class next semester; I'd prefer something that has both a dumbshit (automatic) mode and a way to adjust settings manually. My laptop has memory stick pro and "SD" slots; it'd be nice if whatever I get uses either of those cards. I've played with a Rebel XTi and a Nikon (D70, I think). I prefer the feel/size/weight of the Rebel, but could be convinced to go with a larger body if there's a good reason to. My budget will be around $700 - and that will need to include a lens. I'm not set on buying it new. So... what should I buy and why? What shouldn't I buy and why? Thanks!

Yeah. God forbid anybody should take responsibility for themselves. Especially someone who thinks they want to be a skydiver. Note - this is not a dig on Mark, it's a dig on how tandems are marketed and performed at most dz's. To the OP - Don't go for an amusement park ride, go for a skydive. Do AFF. Even if you only do it once. When you land you'll know far more about the sport, the gear and yourself than anybody who does a tandem will. -
Yeah I have, several times. With three of my closest friends squeezed on the floor with me. - as long as they aren't big guys it's not so bad. And I've been in the copilot seat when it used to run with 17 (17 in a PAC does suck). A full load is usually 14 at Davis.

5:0:0 Saw at least five fights at the Sharks game Saturday night. Planned to jump on Sunday but the clouds weren't cooperating. Acted as a human sacrifice to the weather gods by starting to drink at noon. It worked too; by 2 o'clock the sky was clear. So everybody who jumped at Davis yesterday owes me big time!!!

I'll take cramped for 15 minutes over cramped for 20+ anytime... a PAC with 15 is no worse than an Otter with 23. I love the PAC. So much that if they were all lined up on the fliteline I'd choose it over any other jump plane. The only thing a PAC isn't good for is big way RW exits; it's hard for the last 5 or 6 to get a tight exit. But it's great for practicing your long dive if you go close to last on a 10+ way.

Go Sharks! Watched them beat Vancouver last night in a preseason game (3-1). The attached pics were taken from our seats (five rows from the glass). I've never seen so many fights in a regular season game... At one point everybody on the ice with the exception of the goalies and the guys in stripes were going at it. Anybody else totally ready for the season to start?

So I tried the upload video link using IE (whatever the latest version is), same result. Both of those attempts were on the Vista system. Then my b/f tried to do it from the XP system, also running Firefox (same version). He got to the upload page fine. He logged out, I logged in... and I get sent to the account home page. If I were paranoid, I'd be thinkin' this was personal.

Got it on the videos page once this morning as well. Also, the upload video link sends me to my account home page instead of to an upload form. Running Vista with Firefox 2.0.0.7.

If she's getting freaky on the first date she's probably not looking at you as anything other than a sport fuck. To the OP - it's probably a good idea to tell a guy early on that you like it up the butt. That way those who don't like to put it up the butt can run away.
