I'll be there! Heck, I live there! I hope to meet up with all you guys, feel free to contact me. Matthew www.motavi.com

I've been leaning towards to Rawa helmets lately... They've got a nice flat top on top and all I really want to do is freefly and film, as well as film students so that's why I like the option of having a still camera on top. 2 cameras is enough for me

If you can fly really stable in the tunnel, you will have almost no problems doing the real thing. It helped me tons before I did my first freefall. Being able to backfly in the tunnel and counter if you tumble in the tunnel is much safer than tumbling and freaking out when you are doing the real thing. Malaysia's got the cheapest wind tunnel! www.motavi.com

Fully enclosed/single piece cam helmets
czechbase replied to mr2mk1g's topic in Photography and Video
Very nice helmets. Anyone fly any? Any recommendations on them? Prices seem reasonable. Where to place a ringsight, wouldn't that be a snag point? www.motavi.com -
Quade did you ever buy a new video cam?
czechbase replied to bmcd308's topic in Photography and Video
Hi Quade, Any chance of posting a picture of your setup? With cameras and all? Just curious! Thanks. -
Good suggestion and it's just a matter of mounting something on the top to be able to mount a still camera there. If you had the visor on, where would you place the ringsight? Inside the helmet? www.motavi.com

It's a once-a-year competition. Other than that, that building is off limits and has very tight security! www.motavi.com

You guys are right it's just that the Flat Top Pro is so expensive! I was just searching for an alternative. www.motavi.com

Hi Guys, I just wanted your opinions on the best all round full face camera helmet. The Flat Top Pro is real nice but prohibitively expensive. I also noticed that the Vapor is not in production anymore. Then there was Blade camera helmets and their website doesn't work. What do you recommend for a full face camera helmet? Links and info much appreciated. Thanks! www.motavi.com

I was watching a lot of videos and noticed that the pin rigs tend to open a tad faster and cleaner than a velcro rig. I'm glad I got a pin rig and I tried pulling the bridle out with the rig on the ground and discovered that it doesn't take that much pull force to pull the pins out. I also think that it's nice being able to adjust the pin lengths to adjust the tiension of the pins against the container. That's just my opinion!

I'd like a copy of that video as well. The flat pack method seems to be a little easier for me as I still get confused doing a standing pro pack.
-
Ah yes, I have seen it before. Thanks!
-
Any chance of seeing a picture of it?

Thanks for your support!

Is this considered advertising? I was just asking if anyone has cool pictures they would be willing to share, give rights to reproduce and like you said, make a buck out of it? If I am wrong please tell me and sorry!

Hi All, I'm in the middle of setting up an aero sports magazine here in Malaysia (first of it's kind) and of course there will be a section on skydiving

How about 4 miniDV tapes plus a cleaning tape for US$26.30? www.motavi.com
-
The other day I was using Sony miniDV tapes with very poor results, this was a first! When I was shooting an AFF student, the picture gets all these lines and becomes blurry. It's not the camera as when I used a Panasonic miniDV tape it was crystal clear. Thank goodness that the students understood. From now on I am just going to use Panasonic tapes!! I don't know if anyone else has encountered this? www.motavi.com

How about owning and running a dropzone? Sure that's gotta make some money? www.motavi.com -
Looking for writers and photos for new magazine!
czechbase replied to czechbase's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hi All, I'm in the midst of setting up a aero sports magazine in Malaysia and skydiving is to make up one part of it. The other parts will include fixed wings, ultra/microlights, paragliding and paramotor. All air related sports. I'm looking for anyone interested to submit articles on skydiving and pictures as well. Please email me at matt@mihrconsult.com or PM me to discuss. Thanks! Matthew -

Problem with frame grabs from DV video
czechbase replied to czechbase's topic in Photography and Video
Yup, you are right! It's easy! I do face some problems sometimes converting from GIF to JPEG, I think I need to export to TIFF file instead. I get varied results from interlacing odd and even but overall it's a much better picture. Thanks again!! -
