I think that once you start damaging property or breaking an entering, then there can be more charges brought to you if you get caught. If I am faced with a lock, the last thing I would do is to break it. MotherHucker once said be a stealthy motherfu#$er. I agree with that. No one knows you were there. Peace

I totally agree with that!! www.motavi.com

Tom is correct. The winds there are pretty strong and the landing area very tight (Menara Alor Star) www.motavi.com

It's a BASE boogie. Registration fee for just KL Tower is US$100 and for both KL Tower and Menara Alor Star it's US$150. Menara Alor star is about 103 meters and is in Kedah which is near the Thai border. Feel free to PM me for any questions. This is being organized by a local advertising company and Aziz is the technical and safety director for both towers. Matthew www.motavi.com

I personally would wear a helmet, guess I'm too used to it ever since I started racing motocross bikes (before I took up skydiving/BASE). I just feel better with one on, don't want to be wishing I had one on when I do jump!! But I think it should be the jumper's choice. www.motavi.com

My experience with wind tunnel AFF at Skydive U
czechbase replied to Synapse's topic in Safety and Training
I always encourage new students to take advantage of the wind tunnel here in Malaysia and almost everytime they go for their first freefall, they are extremly stable. We get them to do practice waves and pulls in the tunnel and if they mess it up there, it's a lot safer plus they can counter really well when they go for a real freefall. Good one! Spend more time in the tunnel, it'll help you more in the air. If you can backfly and do a little bit of freeflying in the tunnel, even better -
Why so many jumps before one can fly camera?
czechbase replied to Skylark's topic in Photography and Video
I don't think jump numbers are that important. I think what's more important is awareness in the air, being able to fly stable and stay where you are supposed to be. To also be able to get out of the way if anything funky happens and of course altitude awareness is very important. Certain people get it faster than others and the jump numbers are there in the best interest of safety for everyone in the air. Then again, I've seen people with hundreds and thousands of jumps and I wonder how they get certain ratings and can't even hover in the windtunnel!!! Just me! -
