3. I think thats for your shipping number so you can track the package in transit. When they ship it they send you the parcel number then you can go to the website and see where it is in the world. Its not for how far along in production it is... but then with their lead times - who really needs that. If you're curious how its going send blas an e-mail - he'll be pretty quick with his resp.
4. Both do DV in. I have the 101. I got it cos it was much cheeper than the 105 when I bought. There is really nothing in them assuming the price is good. With the 105, the flash comes in handy for ground stills, the battery will still not run out unless your litterally working all day, even then spares are like £20 and the difference between the two is a matter of minutes. The different cable may be a pain now but in a couple of years it will be the standard and not having it will be the pain.
5. the 101 and the 105 are identical in all but shape and: 1) the 105 has a flash - 101 doesnt. 2) the 105 has the np-fm30 battery whereas the 101 has the slightly more powerful np-fm50. 3) the 101 has a standard 4-pole 1.5mm video composite port and standard s-video port whereas the 105 has a new sony specific port which does both but isn’t compatible with anything else without a converter (all new sonys will have this now). 4) the 105 has a backlight button on the side.
6. make sure you're using google.com not google.co.uk and try froogle.com - its google for cheapos and there's no UK version.
7. I know the R101 disaster involved the phrase - thats why I didn't think it would be repeated as because of the infamy of that broadcast it's now totally cliche. I didn't realise that the WKRP show was a fiction - I thought the posting related to a reportedly real event and thus I didn't buy it.
8. So you could wear it, wander into the kitchens, grab a burger and announce to all "I'm going on a break", then wander off with your free food. Over a couple of weeks, you could easily make back your initial expense. Its a genius purchase.
9. Well considering where you jump, you should definatly consider a 2KComposites helmet when the time comes. They're right down the road from your home DZ and their products are about the best on the market.
10. Ok, I just had this page pop up when I opened dictionary.com. http://www.personaltest.co.uk/?ref=21 Its one of those crappy online IQ tests - the amusing thing is, look at the text about Albert Einstein... firstly, I believe "physcian" is actually spelt, "physician"... and secondly I was not aware that Einstein was actually a medical doctor... rather a PHYSICIST ! Not only that but 10 lines down from where they proclaim his IQ was 196 they say he never took an IQ test so it is unknown.... WHAT? contradicting yourself on the same page and you expect to be taken seriously?? I'm thinking its probably less than reliable! And I'm thinking the people who wrote the page probably failed everyone of the tests on it.
11. I think he already has - ie the Aerodyne Pilot
12. Good story and a "great" image... but I doubt the radio report would have really included the phrase "oh the humanity..."
13. That is fricken awsome! Will I get to meet her at the end of the month in Perris? (She looks hot! ) (Is she an addition to the staff at square 1 or just for shits and giggles?)
14. The check in procedure would differ a little… [Picture a big sign – “Packing Heat – Queue on Left. Unarmed – Straight Through] Then you have a scene reminiscent of Monty Python’s Life of Brian where the poof is handing out crosses. The TSA agent stops each in turn and asks carrying a weapon “Are you a terrorist? No… good, straight through, join the queue on the right…... Are you a terrorist?”
15. so... 1 would take him down, 4 would miss and kill other passengers, 3 would get drunk on the free booze and start threatening people, 1 turns out to be a criminal and decides he's the next DB Cooper 1 gets excited and shoots himself in the leg as he's un-holstering his pistol, bleeding out before he gets to the ground, 10 would shoot the shit out of the plane causing everyone to have to breath O2, and $200,000 worth of damage.
16. Disgust... then agreed it was an interesting and dificult question... and could not really make up their mind which was more repulsive. Its nice to see that society as a whole (if we can assume this site represents anything like a true cross-section) does not consider one more permissible than the other. If they are both equally repulsive then you cannot describe either as "more" acceptable.
17. Nice to see everyone has an equally hard time answering this and its a pretty even response.
18. 1 would take him down 15 would shoot the shit out of the plane and cause explosive decompression 4 would kill other passengers.

"The new improved Microsoft AAD Version 37.1.1.2 comes with additional features such as MS paint, MS word and MS IE for those long boring jumps from altitude. In addition to this increased functionality, we have reduced the instance of freezing, crashing and blue screens by a third so with this product you should only experience one or two a day enabling you to continue your skydiving in confidence."
21. Ah, like sam said - just get of the train at Bristol, we'll pick you up from there and you can crash at ours - we'll get you the rest of the way.
22. Well I guess, strictly applying the criteria, they only need to be Human and not alive. There’s no “minimum time dead” requirement… so it’s up to you. (Now we can all tell which way you’re leaning).
23. Its about having ONE standard, and ONE only... therefore if you choose Human, it means you cannot also have the standard that they must be Alive. Thus yes, that includes the deceased. Similarly, if you choose Alive... you can't also have the standard that they must be Human. Now you see why we were having dificulty picking.
