If I were to repack your main, I am held to the same standards as if I were packing your reserve. You have posted in the past that you would hold your packer responsible for packing a line over. $5.00 or $10.00 does not buy you the same standard that is required of a rigger when he/she packs a canopy. Any canopy. If you have a problem with the price of a service, any service, it is best to take it up with the person who did the service. If I were to pack your main, which I won't do, the price is the same as for any other repack, $50.00. By packing your main I am certifying it as airworthy just like a reserve. The first time you took your reserve to this loft, did you ask about the cost? If you were unhappy with the price why did you take it back the second time? Rather then appear to be trolling, why didn't you just say how much you paid and ask if others thought it was unreasonable?     Meandean has a good point. If you in fact have only 28 jumps and are 240 pounds out the door, you are going to be in a world of hurt if you have to use you reserve. That canopy has a max exit weight of 222 pounds at sea level. How many jumps do you have on F-111 7 cells? Would you advise a student pilot to fly all his training flights with the plane 10% over gross. This is not just another "Rodeo". Like you, I am a pilot and back in the day raced motorcycles and you would be well served to understand that skydiving is different than anything you have done before. 8 people have died in this sport so far this year. As far as common sense goes, worrying about music in freefall and jumping an overloaded reserve at 28 jumps does not add up to common sense.
