    I really didn’t have to; I was the only one dumb enough to try it. It was found in a back water area of Long Beach harbor. After rinsing it out thoroughly and giving it a very good inspection it was decided by committee and with lots of Budweiser courage that it was “airworthy”. Hung some “D” rings in front with a 24’ flat and the next morning headed to the DZ. I either had to back up my loud mouth bravado or hide my head in shame. Being very young and full of stupid I made the jump. It worked just fine and I landed without incident. I learned a very good lesson; never miss a chance to keep you big mouth shut.     The Falcon was tested under TSO-C23c, Category B. That is 300 lbs. at 175 knots. It is legal up to 254 lbs. exit weight when used as a reserve. The 179 lbs. is probably what the manufacture feels the jumper can survive when landing it. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

    I don't think you need to necessarily be the one that exercises poor judgment to gain experience by it, but whether it is your own screw-ups and close calls or those of someone else, learning important lessons gives one the experience needed to then use good judgment. Normal channels of communication in the business world would be the phone, email, fax or even snail mail, but not PM for dz.com. You go public with you tirade and then say “but bro you should probably stay out of it”. You are sounding like a spoiled kid who can’t have his way.
