This is the perfect place for me to say Thank You to everyone who made this boogie what it was, the most fun I've had in a LONG time! Thanks to Jason and the FANTASTIC staff at Xtreme Divers, for putting on the boogie. Thanks to EVERYONE who worked behind the scenes to ensure that we, the jumpers, had an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Monkey Claw for the FF organizing, and coaching too. Thanks to Guy for taking care of the RW crowd. Thanks to Kruse and the rest of the CReW Dogs for the CRW jumps. Thanks to the local jumpers (and hell, whuffos too) for making us tourists feel welcome. Thanks to the jumper (Mike?) who kept me in the air by giving up his spare reserve handle! If you missed it this year, make it a point to go next year. Puerto Rico is the place to be in Febuary. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I'll spare you the history lesson on Iraq, Benny. I believe that Michele took care of that a few weeks ago. Now, back to the business at hand. I was addressing your statement that it would be possible to win a war without the use of ground troops. You've done nothing to persuade me that I am wrong, or that you are correct. Again, I ask you, do you have a workable plan for this? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Speaking of 2nd Amendment rights...I jost lost mine!!!

Kev, Michele is dead on on that one. You can't afford to be alone with her, ever. Stay safe, and good luck. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
No Benny, it would not. It would needlessly kill ALL of the innocent civilians. It would render the land uninhabitable for 10s of years. It would make the US as evil as I believe you think that it is. Let me know when you've got a realistic plan to win a war without ground troops. I'd love to hear about it; I'm sure that the military planners would, too. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Doesn't matter. If the demand existed, they would build them, and build them in droves. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Basically doesn't cut it, Benny. If we COULD win a war without ever putting an American soldier on the ground, we would. Unfortunately wars require occupation. The only other way to "win", would be to literally flatten a country with bombs. Nobody wins in that scenario, nobody. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Honestly, I don't like them. Video and stills from a separate video guy would look better, I think. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

PST DVD "Two Thousand Three" is out!
Jimbo replied to proswoopingtour's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Will it be available at the local gear store? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
You've already got one. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I recently had the opportunity to jump my PD160/R loaded at approximately 1.6:1. The opening was soft, and on heading. During flight I thought I was flying a square main, not a reserve. A few practice flares and then it was time to land, a perfect tip-toe landing on this beast. This was my third reserve ride, with the previous two being on a competitors product. I'm sold, from now on it's PD reserves in my rigs, nothing else.

I disagree. I think that America is a great place to live. If you want to be successful, more successful than the next guy then you need ambition, and lots of it. This whole "the little guy can't succeed" business is bullshit. Life is what you make of it. Too many people seem to be under the impression that they are entitled to high paying jobs with good benefits. Well, I've got news for you, you're not. If you want the good job then do whatever it takes to get it. But don't you dare sit back, while doing nothing or not enough to get ahead, and complain that you can't get ahead, that you're stuck in a dead end job. Take your life into your own hands, where it belongs. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I find the idea of voting against someone, but not for someone else to be a little bit absurd, a wasted vote, even. There's always the Green party, the Libertarian party, the Constitution party, etc... The point is that we don't live in a two party system, at least we don't have to. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Was it only water? If it was, and you let the phone dry out for a few days, it might work again. Then again, it might not. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Great article, Kennedy. Thanks for taking the time to dig it up and post it. Wise move posting it in its own thread, too. It would have been lost in the others. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I agree, shooting anyone is not to be taken lightly. However, as I mentioned before, in a him or me, life and death situation, it's going to be him. Every time. No apologies. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

You shouldn't have to run out your landings on any modern, moderately loaded, parachute. It's uaually pilot error that results in run out landings. I think BillVon wrote up a few reviews of the new Aerodyne canopies. Search the site for more info. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

WHAT? Please take the time to further explain this thought. I can not imagine being willing to sacrifice my life or well being so that a criminal might succeed in a violent crime against me or those who I love, not when I am in a position to change the outcome. No way. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Sabres have opening problems. It's no secret
Jimbo replied to TomSpoon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
But there are quite a few of them floating around on the used market, and probably will be for quite some time. It's also a canopy that PD swore up and down didn't have opening problems. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
Perhaps fewer jobs would be lost if the American worker didn't demand unreasonable wages for unskilled labor. There's a reason that some companies are unable to compete while manufacturing in the USA, and are forced to outsource south of the border. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You can try: http://www.enclave.com/. What specifically are you looking for? Honestly, I think that dz.com's classifieds are probably the most complete listings you'll find today. If you can't find it here, you might have to buy it new. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
