D'oh! Hasn't the KA been for sale for a few years now? What's up Dave!? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

That's kind of what I thinking. I've got a few friends up at STL, what's the latest? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I noticed that Mr. Kallend failed to address that in his response to you. Hmm... - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Actually, according to your article, they're beginning to blame the occupation. Last I checked we (the US) weren't the only ones there. Any Aussies over there? Funny thing is, the sooner they stop with the lawlessness, and cowardice, the sooner the occupation will be over. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Uh huh. It's our fault that people are running around killing innocent civilians. That makes sense. I put the responsibility on the suicide bombers, their sponsors, and those Iraqi's who allow this to happen. That is exactly where it belongs, I believe. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Ya know, abuse isn't quite the right word. My concern is simply that lowbies will see an 'instructors' forum and take everything that they read as gospel, after all, it's instructors talking! Anyhow, I've said enough in this thread, I think. I'm going back to Talkback, where I belong. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Does this mean that it doesn't have that MTV feel that damn near gave me convulsions that Out of the Blue has? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

It's not the same Bill, and you know it. Each person owes what they owe to the IRS; we have a rather complicated set of laws surrounding taxes, but they are there. Your example of the auditor getting people to pay "more than they owe" suggests that he's stealing. If through enforcement of the laws the auditor found that someone owed more than he thought he did, well, tough. In the case of the police enforcing existing laws, well, that's what they're paid to do, enforce the laws, right? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Katie was good. Most of the incriminating stuff is stored away in her personal collection. If you ever run for political office, make sure that Katie is on your good side! - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Looking for a serious answer/advice
Jimbo replied to jumpingjoe's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Why shouldn't he? I think he ought to take the responsibility upon himself instead of relying on others to fix his problems (or hers) for him. JJ - Pull her aside and gently explain what happened, and why you think it's dangerous. Don't be condescending, don't be confrontational, be concerned, calmly explain your side of the story, and be sure to listen to hers. There's no reason to be a dick here, and there's no reason that you shouldn't take care of this yourself. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
This is a civil matter, not criminal, rights have nothing to do with it. Maybe you should complain about the juries, they're the group that makes this crap a reality. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Hmm... I wonder if we could find an attorney with a sense of humor to file on your behalf. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

That'd be nice, wouldn't it? Problem is that most people want information spoon fed to them, if they can get a quick answer from some random online instructor, they'll take that any day over having to research the info themselves. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You're right, I did. However, I still think it's a bad idea. The forum will be riddled with bad/conflicting information, and because it's instructors talking to instructors, the newbies are still likely to see instructors posting and take their word as gospel. Unless it's hidden from the general public my objection still stands. A hidden instructors forum, I'd be all for that. Otherwise, let's just keep it in S&T. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

Why? Because instructors know better than experienced jumpers? I think that the potential for abuse in an 'instructors' forum is high. Newbies reading will think that all information is good information; bad idea. The topical forums are pretty low volume and allow everyone to particpate. Want to make sure your information is read? Post with clear and obvious thread titles. Write articles for the 'non-forum' pages. Having a forum where every newly minted instructor, coach, or otherwise, can post under the guise of "Instructor" is a Bad Idea, in my opinion. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. Raven Dash-M Reserve.....Any opinions on quality as a reserve
Jimbo replied to SSkydiver's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have two jumps on a Raven loaded at roughly 1:1, I have one jump on a PD160 @ roughly 1.6:1. My next reserve will be a PD, absolutely. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. -
