  1. Best looking 8-way team, ever!
  2. Ladies and Gents! U.S. Nationals is less than one week away! I myself will not be there this year, but I'll be glued to Omniskore, NSL, and Skydive Chicago's web sites to try and keep up with the pulse. (yes, I have the time off work, but didn't dedicate to a team this year.) Spoke with Fury team member Josh Hall yesterday and they're on their way there soon. Several 4-way and 8-way teams from Perris will be attending. From Intermediate to Open. It's time to start the cheering of our favorite teams! Go Fury!!!
  3. So, I guess that you're just another "parrot", like me. You might like to revisit those threads you've quoted. Unless I miss my mark, in 3 of those threads quade gave his opinion in the original post. In one he was just "speechless"...Except it kind of spoke for itself, anyway... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. Got one from an AOL company at 3 freak'n 30 in the morning a few weeks ago! How the f#%*k do they think they'll get any business doing that! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Didn't see anyone 'biff' (15 skydivers on this demo). But to answer your question, no. I was in pink (JFTC jumpsuit, supporting the ladies
  6. :2:0 One jump was to open the California Speedway NASCAR race on Sunday! It rained HARD, damaging the Perris Ultralight park for a 2nd day, then cleared enough for us to make our demo. HOT AS HELL at (predicted) 111 degrees in Fontana, but a nice 5mph breeze helped. Our pay? To watch the military salute with a slow flyover with 2 of their F-117!! Beautiful! Then they brought over 2 Black Hawk! What a beautiful sight!
  7. We had another torrential downpour this afternoon at Perris. Rain sideways, from the south. I took a tour of the ultralight park afterwards and was told that Scott Christiansen's hanger was blown up this time, along with another 3 ultralights. Geeze! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Al was indeed a special man. He will be missed. I like the message he gave to all of us, in his video: "Take more chances". Blue Skies, Al. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Great photography! I especially like this one. Aussies are my favorite breed of dog as well.
  10. A co-worker found one of the 3 new kittens her cat had in the wall of the house she was rebuilding. She kept hearing meowings coming from the room and finally had to cut the wall to get him out! She named the kitty "Miracle". Guess there's something to say about 'Curiosity killed the cat'! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. As opposed to being plucked? Guess dried concrete just doesn't brush out, does it? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Lemmings follow a leader. CA would be the leader if they were first. Right?
  13. Particularly like the kitty's new name. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Oh good grief! http://news.yahoo.com/s/thenation/20070830/cm_thenation/45228121 " New Hampshire officials have indicated a willingness to leap over the New Year's line and schedule a primary December, 2007." Stop the madness!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Did a search and didn't find a recent thread that discussed just this topic. I'm kind of surprised. In the past few months our eastern states have been attempting the 'one-up-man-ship-' tactic in trying to become the very first state to hold primary elections. As a west coast resident, it just seems silly that a state with a more numerous population isn't the trend setter. Say, like California! We have a diverse population here that should be heard first, not last! It seems that whichever state holds the first vote sets the trend for all of the U.S.'s thought process in the following days. Why is that? Are the candidates that easily discouraged (or encouraged)? Or are we just a bunch of lemmings? Now the first primary elections are in January '08! What happened to March? Why are so many (east coast) states trying to overstep each other? Bring it west, for pete's sake! http://blog.nj.com/njv_peter_mcdonough/2007/08/shuffling_the_primary_deck.html ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Was browsing the on-line news and found this distressing story. For you kitten lovers, it has a happy ending....
  17. Here's a picture sent to me by another longtime skydiving friend. That's Jim Wallace about 9:00, tracking away. White jumpsuit.

    Tomato canning

Had so many tomatos cropping up on my garden's one tomato vine I could not eat them all. Took to paring and freezing them instead of canning. Canning takes too long. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. Very cool and very well deserved. Jumped with Jim just last Sunday and he indeed had a grin the whole way down. It was truly amazing his comment once we landed..."That was the most awesome dive ever!"
  20. Got it e-mailed to me on the 24th and saved it. Makes one smile and sometimes we need a pick-me-up.
  21. Okay, that's a bit more than this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvQfsl1XeUI&mode=related&search= Uh, don't you -always- lock down your...uh...box? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
