And the funny thing is, is that a cat kept the pooping pigeons away from a hospital's patio where I used to work. Ah, the cycle of life... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

For those of you who've been following....I -finally- picked up a deterrent to my neighbor's cats. They keep shitting on my front lawn! (she has 20 cats, and now a dog...so the cat's don't poop in their own backyard anymore). She's really a nice neighbor, but this cat problem just HAD to go. So, broke down and bought the Scarecrow! Put it up just last evening. It seems to be working, so far. However, I just got a laugh out of my -other- neighbor's reaction. Seems that he left for work, early this morning, and got the begeezus scared outta him when he went to get in his car! (he parks in front of my house) The sprinkler went off and he jumped almost across the street! He couldn't figure out what had happened, until he set it off again, this time with him looking. Seems that it might keep other trespassers away, too. Just thought I'd share.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Not able to answer these questions completely, however I have a 1988 USPA National's video here that includes the leg locks in the competition. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Good choice, what with their come from behind win this year!

THESE are the ones that I've jumped with for many years. They've served me well, and if I'm not mistaken, the ones others are referring to as working without fail, as well.

Ebay has several (metal) 25mm .6 Sony lenses, and if the one is correct, a 30mm one as well. See: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=sony+.6+lens&category0= ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Visiting my sister up here in Napa Valley and she takes me outside to see one of their new estate sale finds! A Paratrooper Bicycle. This things folds up, the foot pedals push in, and it can be attached to you for jumping with! Here is a web page she used to research it. http://bcoy1cpb.pacdat.net/bsa_airborne_bicycles_(aka_parabike).htm And the bicycle itself which will go up on ebay sometime in October! What a piece of history I didn't know about. Can you imagine? Jumping...With a metal (fold-up) bike...With a round parachute? Ouchie! (see attachment) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Did? Is it over already? Did the wind and clouds scare everyone away? So, what's the story with 8-way? Is it over after 5 rounds? Are they going on to 10-way tomorrow? Or trying to complete 8-way first? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Did you know that Aftermath tied with the Open team, AZ Divewerks.
-
Perris Aftermath takes it by 7 points!! Wow! Congratulations!!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

If they tie in round 11 CK gets the gold. Yep. :^) And for those of you reading here, who wonder how this can be... See attachment for the breakdown of the competition rules on this subject. Several World Championships have come down to the final rule, and wow is it exciting when this happens!

Woah! Intermediate 4-way Scores. This what I like.... And if they tie Round 11? They're still teasing us with Advanced Scores. Come on! What's Round 10 for the top two? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

And on the Open side of things... Remember the days (can we find all our Gold Medal Winner's very first National's Competition)? I'll start: 2000's Tunnel Rage--Eliana Rodriguez! Hey, there's Thomas Hughes, too! ;^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Wow! Look at Aftermath's Round 6! They got a re-jump (per Tim on Omnibits)! The plane was banking on that round, during their exit. They got a 12 yesterday. They were allowed a re-jump today! They got a 15 and took over the lead in Advanced! I I can only imagine the feelings swirling around this one! Now waiting for Aftermath's Round 9 scores...(taking another sip of the coffee, here...)
-
Just saw the Intermediate teams dirt dive Round 10 (SDC's webcam). So, we're almost there!

I was wondering about that, too. All I could find in the USPA manual is in the general rules, which say 3. In a case where part of a team’s performance is not judgeable from lack of video evidence, or where the quality of video image is considered insufficient for judging purposes, the Video Review Panel will assess the conditions and circumstances and may award a re-jump. In addition, there is no place in the USPA Comp Manual which states we can revert(?) to the IPC Manual for the rules. If they had at least written that in our rule book... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
