  1. How 'bout CRWBABE. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. There's nothing like the feeling of being exhausted over a job well done.
  3. Congrats lew! First on your new baby...and secondly on your old babe becoming a STAR!!
  4. Wow, checked that out. You're right. I'm gonna die. Yeah, it sounds kind of funny, but a friend of mine almost died because of it. So, it's not out of the question. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. I remember that too - but these days I NEVER follow out a SL student. The JM's are doing AFF, Tandem, Wingsuit jumps, 4 way, freefly etc. t Most DZ's instructors have more than one static line student in the plane at one time as well and won't go out with any student unless specifically requested by that student. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Okay....I know I got hooked on coffee when I started to hang around skydivers 8 years ago. I also knew that coffee wasn't that good for you. Your question prompted me to google....well, take a look. Caffeine really is bad ju-ju. Medically speaking. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. Try THIS one. Or perhaps THIS? Maybe THIS. Interesting flip-flop. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Oh Wow! Cinco de Mayo in the land of the Cubans for you this year, Lisa! Have a happy one, girl! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Careful what 'they' say. Stats: PAC 750XL : DISTANCE CARGO DOOR TO HORIZONTAL STABILISER: 121.75" (309.24cm) Anyone have that stat for the Caravan? (I've googled but haven't found it yet). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. June 5 I'll be at an airshow demo jumping in. :^) June 6 with my team. Wanna tag along? It'll be great! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. True. Yet, as a newbie tandem videoflyer he's got to realize that if he's a fraction of a hair late on the 'go' he's going to end up too close to the drouge bridle. As he starts, he might consider leaving just a fraction of a hair early and tucking his wings in (legs out) to keep him close and not blown back from the exiting tandem. The tandem will accelerate faster and he will be left behind (and above) if he exits the way a team competitor's cameraflyer does...even if he -is- close to the door. Nice video of Raoul's work. Like the view of the tandem/video exiting before him. This cameraflyer can exit in a freefly position (which gives a nice face shot on exit). Unless someone is very good at freeflying, they should not consider flying this way with a tandem....but once it's perfected it makes for fantastic video. Perhaps SBS can post some pictures Raoul took of him videoing his mom on a tandem. SBS was the 1st cameraflyer. Raoul the 2nd. AWESOME pictures and video. For AFF, it is best to trail the exit. Oh sure, you can lead it just fine....until the student balks...or decides to start the count over. Then you're (as you said) 'screwed'. Watching videos of the best in the trade, and counseling with them is the best way to learn. Then....just go up and practice it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Umm, I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but neither of those articles have anything to do with freefall video technique. Whoops. You're right. Wrong file from my internet archive. Try THIS ONE. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. Okay, so I'm poking fun a a wuffo and his first time in the tunnel. But look at how much FUN he's having?! He's not the only fun in the crack house wev'e seen, right? Post your "fun" pics here. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. To start: Check out Tim Wagner's input on teams and video. Part 1 and 2. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yeah, thanks alot Steve! YOU'RE the one who got me hooked on the stuff! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Accutaly it's not that simple. When a A/C is parked on the ground it can be in a MUCH different attitude than it would be for level flight or a jump run (slightly nose low and decending). As an extreme example, look at tail draggers. A Porter's horizontal stapilizer is very low when on the ground, but when flying it's not an issue. Yes, I understand this concept. I just like to have the horizontal stabilizer as far away from my noggin as stability allows. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Depends on the school and what they decide. Perris has alot of coaches that they like to refer unlicensed jumpers to. However, I think you'll be able to get on board with the gang. Katie has the final say at the school. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. It's not a problem. Really. Just remembering Raoul and his BIG smack with a Caravan's tail on exit. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. I hate to change your impression of the Land of Plenty mate, but the overwhelming majority of US dzs fly 182s. The 182 IS the backbone of the US skydiving industry. Yep. Learned at a very small 182 DZ. First 200 jumps were out of that wonderful Cessna.
  20. Huh? Distance is distance. What does it do, -stretch- in the air? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. Craig O'Brian was on the jump and was shooting from above. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

coupons, and a punch card. I get ten punches, then I get a free dessert. *** Thanks for the reminder! My next ice cream delight is free. Found my punch card and it's full!
  23. Understood. My first SLR camera was a Mamiya Sekor (still have it). Second Pentax (a gift) (sold it, and all its accessories and lenses on Ebay). Third a Canon. I started collecting additional lenses for the Canon and now I choose to stay there for the same reason....other than the fact that they're awesome cameras ta boot.
