  1. Yeah, I saw that too and did a search on-line about Bill. All I came up with was a link to his cigar co.. Oh, and btw, it's now Mr. Apprentice is seems!
  2. Hey, I resent that! I can do mutiplication table in my head, and tie my own shoes. I even did a science project this year! (That's what I'm calling my refrigerator) Oh, hey. I'm out of candy. Send more for this desk. Hey, at least you're not a hippy (like Frank was (is))! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. What were the circumstances in which you lost them? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. Thanks, Jerry. I was hoping you would reply. So, our waiver doesn't cover us from family members if the student bounces. Interesting. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Seems that there are a few cameraflyers who report losing a camera helmet in flight. It's be kind of interesting to start a thread and find out just how many camera helmets have 'met their maker' in the years past. And -how- they were lost. Sorry for your loss, wwhisler! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Conway, Thanks for your reply. I guess people on this thread didn't understand my original post. I realize that the waiver does -not- prevent people from suing. I know that is helps deter it, sometimes not successfully, though. It is common knowledge that once someone sues and loses, that they have the right to appeal the verdict. My question in posting this 'notice' of the Pennsylvania tragedy...and New Jersey lawsuit was....what was new news in all of this? To me, and other instructors who are faced with this fact every time we take someone up, any hiccup in the skydive that is deemed by the wuffo's as unusual can open up a can of worms that nobody wants to eat. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  11. Emphasis mine. This will be a state by state issue. So, residents in Pennsylvania did not have this right before today? What other states are left out of the 'loop' still? I guess growing up in California, with all the lawsuits happening day in and day out (whether they're legit or not) had me thinking that ALL states had this right already. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. How is this new news tonight? Even though someone signs a waiver, is has, on several occasions, not prevented a family member from sueing and hoping to win. How is this different now? Hit the news wires just an hour ago. Survivors Can Sue Despite Waiver ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. "Steady Shot" can also be a contributing factor to "image shake" depending on the type of wide angle lens, and the amount of zoom the jumper may have been using with the lens. 15. Or, perhaps she will grow up resenting her mother for what she let happen to her as a child, and will be justified in her ever-growing contempt toward the society in which she lives. One of the two Angela. I have a hard time understanding those who blame their distant past for ruining their current life. Doesn't it hurt to be held back and give someone else's behavior control over your life? (not directed at you, but in general speak). I get tired of people blaming everyone but themselves for their current state. For example on how to overcome, read the most excellent book, Gifted Hands. A story about a inner city kid who overcame racism and poverty (in a single parent household, too), to become a world famous pediatric cerebral neurosurgeon. He had a choice of joining the gangs in his neighborhood, or being different. He chose to walk a different path. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Or they could just make lemonade out of the lemons someone handed them. Or, as a card I read said in response to lemons being handed you: "Stick 'em in your bra! We could all use the help!" ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Good quotes?

Hey, you got your politics....I've got my anatomy. I understand the biology of it. It just didn't fit with the popular saying. See the t-shirt. If people would like to experience the whole song here it is too. pfffftttt! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Good quotes?

What the hell is a 'pre-frontal' lobotomy? Medically speaking, this doesn't make any sense. The way I've heard the saying is, "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy". ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. b^2, Catch it on Wednesday night. Wednesdays are the re-runs of the week before. Thursdays are the new show for the week. This episode is worth viewing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Seems that the other mother was in favor of the police action. Perhaps the 9 year old's parent needed a little help in driving home a morality issue or two. Actually, I support the discipline. Kids need to know there are consequences to their actions. Perhaps, now, this 9 year old will think before she acts and grow up to respect others and their property. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. I've come to the conclusion that Omarosa is a Trump plant from the beginning. I mean, who would...could...should be so incredibly dense in real life? --The 'better than you' attitude she had on the very first show. --The head trauma with the plaster piece falling on her head. And then playing basketball in the street while she should have been working. --Dismissing the doctor sent to her (on request) and demanding to go to the ER. --The fight she had with Heidi on if they should take lunch. --Bursting in on Trump's meeting, uninvited, to 'plead her case' just before she was fired. --Putting off her assignment over wanting to eat a meal with Kwame's Team, and putting his Apprenticeship in jeopardy. Blatantly lying about it when questioned. --Shirking her duty. She's the one who kept us all viewing...and Trump brought her back so we'd all tune in again. Trump's not stupid. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
