  1. Ray's doing great and still jumping here in So.Cal. He was just here for the last NSL-SSL competition at Perris...shooting video, of course.
  2. Whoo Hoo!!! LOVE the secret! :^) Can't wait to see you!! You bringing a 2nd rig for me, bytch? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Completely agree. However, if it ever -does- happen on a rare occasion, refund the money and make it good however you professionally can. It sucks, but it does happen. Once I had a ring site come off -in- the plane! (mounting screw unthreaded completely). There were enough other cameraflyers on the plane (and the pilot had some gaffer pieces also attached to a chem light) that I was able to rig the ring site back on in time for jump run!! It held together for the jump, amazingly! (I also know exactly where in my goggle's frame the tandem has to be to make the picture good...so this helped as well
  4. I prefer the 3rd definition here...and believe that this is the correct one when interpreting this phrase. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. For starters, look HERE. Click on the menu at the very bottom of the page. Quade will be with you shortly to fill in the gaps....
  6. The 4 DZ's where I have worked, they have you sign away your ability to use student photographs for your own remuneration. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. Wow! Those colors are vibrant! ... Nice pic with the puffies setting it off nicely. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Picture, dear sir? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. I think my son falls into that category. (Depends how you classify me). He is a sergeant, currently in Korea, imminently on his way to Iraq. My nephew, too. He's currently in the Navy on a nuclear sub. Graduated at the top of his military class. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Congrats, Michele! Something so well deserved after so much hard work.... Guess you'll have to update your jump numbers now with a couple more zero's! (it currently reads "1+"). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. Since when has 'substantialness' been the measure of quality? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Can you ask them to post here so we can all learn? Perhaps the approach they used with their chief instructor, office manager, and DZO could teach us all how to prosper on this topic. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. And which little DZ have you worked at? Seriously....even the little...little DZ that I grew up in wouldn't let their cameraflyers work outside their operation. They used digtial cameras (and this was 8 years ago), a computer and program for printing right there on the spot. The DZ got the profits and the cameraflyers got -only- their normal flight fee...nothing more. I'd think that most, if not all, DZO's would not let their "employee-contract worker" make $$ on the side from their place of business. No matter how small their operation was. The profit margin is just so small. Now....if the DZO set up a Shutterfly operation and reaped the rewards...now THAT they'd go for! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Hey quade, does it count if a person posts a personal attack on himself? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. For students, most DZ operations pay the cameraflyer a set rate and keep the rest of the profit. Not sure the schools would opt for this kind of set-up where a cameraflyer makes a profit from the students on the side. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Sony should use us for one of their ads, don't you think? I started with a Sony Hi8 model (don't remember the number...got rid of it pretty quickly), progressed to a TRV8 (loved that camera), TRV10, now a TRV22. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Why another 22? Are the 10's failing, or is just the weight and size? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Yep... My fingers got cut -through- my gloves on opening just last weekend. Got to round off those sharp corners on my BatRak! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. All I can say is that when the smog level gets high at Perris, my lungs hurt after a day of skydiving. I can even feel the burn on the way down in freefall! This leaves my lungs feeling tight, burning, and spent. Can't take a deep breath. I guess I recognize it as I live in a fairly clean environment in the mountain's foothills. Take if for what it's worth. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. What's the summer smog level at XKeys? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. Looks like this camera is very popular. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Can you post the article? I don't really feel like joining another website... Dang. Are you on someone's hit list? I didn't have to join nothin' to view this page. Here ya go:
  23. Wuffo article HERE. Photo below just for you, rhino. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. Yes. Interesting to listen to KFI in the morning as well. Tipping point....nice choice of words and correct in the visual too. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
