Dang, girl! Snow at Perris?!! Wow! I just looked at PerrisCam and everything looks rather dank and wet. Looks like it'a a day in front of the fire place at the parents, huh? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yeah! My dog is 1/2 Siberian Huskey and 1/2 Australian Shepherd. She's had only one other introduction to snow in her 10 years....and that was when she was a puppy. She loved the snow this morning! Couldn't stop running around, leaping over the stuff. She normally knows not to go out of the yard...stops at the curb. However, the 'lawn' never ended so we were off around the neighborhood! Really nice, though. Alot of the neighbors were out looking at the stuff, taking pictures like I was. Kids making snow men. Real 'leave it to beaver' feeling. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Woke up this morning to a phone call from across town. It was snowing!!!! Went outside and was awestruck that it was 8 inches of the stuff! I live 34 miles NE of Perris (and 1,000' higher). Pictures below. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Jeffy, From your profile: Then from this post: I'm confused. Just how old are you? ltdiver Oh, btw, thanks for putting a comma between cooking/eating and cat. At first glance it looked like cooking and eating your new cat! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

ltdiver replied to Zenister's topic in The Bonfire
Was that -you- and your little plane bouncing down the runway at Perris this evening as well? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Here, Peter. This may help you out. Not the exam, but some very helpful exercises. http://www.makeithappen.com/products/uspaexam.html ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

If he wants to jump with other jumpers....or travel to another DZ and be allowed to jump...me thinks he'll need his 'A' license from USPA.

Kinda hard to tote a desktop to a hang gliding or skydiving operation isn't it? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Student I trained (in a FJC of 5) who went up with two other instructors for his AFF Level I. He (the student) was a jet pilot from France, visiting Perris, CA and wanted to learn just how to skydive and control his canopy if he ever needed to bail out of his plane.... I'm sure glad he got video!! He was stellar in his skydive. Picture perfect! He waved and pulled exactly on time. The pc launched...bridle stretched....container opened...the d-bag didn't launch! Reserve side pounded on the side of the rig. It extracted at 3,500'. Upon debrief the student remembered everything. The sequence. The pull. He noticed that he wasn't under canopy the 6 seconds after pulling...looked at his altimeter...looked over at his JM and saw that he was doing something. Noticed they were above 2500 and decided to let the JM do what he had to until decision altitude.... Never had such an aware student before...or since. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Dang, Lou! Re-size your HUGE pictures so we can see the whole thing at once! Or, is everything of yours in that size variety? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Sorry, Lou. He remarked that he's 'pretty much starting from scratch'... And if his computer is old enough to have Win98 on it...it's a dog and needs to be replaced anyway. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Oh, you're right. Skydiving camera-work is a labor of love...and a HUGE money pit no matter how you look at it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Seamless integration of quality media programs. Ease of use. Excellent customer service. And that's just the start of it. Any other Mac users want to add to the list?

Ah...Riggers still work in the rain, I bet.

Maia, (hey, that's the last name of a co-worker of mine too!) Your profile says your a 'wanderer' in reference to a home DZ. Well, think you might want to wander over to a DZ that has a rigging loft (let's say The Ranch) and have a rigger look at the fit. Some manufacturers are very picky about just -how- their required measurements be taken. Yours sounds like it need adjustment. The rig needs to be safe and comfortable for you to fly...you'll be jumping it for years to come. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Absolutely. I learned my lesson when I bought my PowerMac a few years ago. When my neighborhood had a transformer blow it burned my power supply even thought I had it hooked to a surge protector. Cost me over $300 to have it repaired. If I had bought the AppleCare it would have been covered (even though it was my own mistake not having the computer connected to a Battery Back-Up which would have saved it). Learned that lesson as well. I bought the memory upgrade from the internet connection I got the PB from. At first I thought it -must- be the computer at fault when it would wig-out and shut down (then not reboot). I called tech support and they couldn't figure out the problem! We tried for several days with no success to correct the problem (even erasing the HD and re-installing the software). We were about to ship the whole thing back when a new tech (from about the umpteeth phone call in to tech support) gave a shot in the dark about removing my extra RAM. I did so...and the computer woke up and worked GREAT! Worked great from then on (with the hard-wired 256 that came with the PB (12", 1 GHz) ). I tried to send the faulty 512 back for a refund or replacement. No joy. It had already passed the 30 days. I had to eat the cost myself. Got the Apple 512 last Sunday and it's fantastic! Should have not tried to save $$ on this essential and gone with a known, tested, and true brand. Apple. So, Yoshi....listen to Drew. He can give you pointers from the inside center position.

Saw the re-cap on the news today. Did the fan start it with the heckling? If so, the jerk is the ball player for cold cocking the fan. If the player had ignored the fan then the fan would have come off looking like the jerk. But since the player reacted the way he did...HE comes off looking like the jerk....and the rest of the fans joined in on the heckling. Sheesh...well, at least these fans don't pee over the railing like the soccer fans in Brazil do! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

To alot of people the definition of the DZ is 'home'. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

$847.63. That's a heck of alot more than $4.50. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Really? Where do you shop? I had bought some off brand memory (512 MB) to add to my PB when I bought it. Unhappily, it wasn't a good brand and faulted out immediately. So, I decided to go with just the Apple brand just this week. Price for the 512....$200. If that's 'relatively cheap'...I'd like to have -your- spending power. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
