  1. How often do we fall into this go-nowhere ditch. And how often do we wake up and realize what is lacking and take action. Take risks. Live! Come sliding into the end of your life yelling...YAHOOOOO!!!!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. Really? My bad. What you posted was the "Hand-Cam". What he asked about (I thought) was the "HandyCam"...what -some people- refer to regular small video cameras as. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Indeed they do exactly this. Case in point...Mine. I demo'd the original Nitron when it was introduced way back when. About 40 jumps on a 135. I stood every one of those landings up nicely!
  4. I'm normally a TRV on top of the helmet advocate. However, in your case...flying AFF -with- a student (that's what you're getting at, right?)...I'd go with a side-mount PC. Less to bonk the student's head with during the skydive. And for BASE jumping there in Moab...talk with Jimmy. Bet he'd have the best set-up scenerio for you. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Hey! Stop editing your post while I'm formulating my reply! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Of course. Let's just go with your number, though. (I -do- believe that The City of Perris is charging us alot more per Kwh for it's electric drain toward the tunnel, though). Add to that 4 operator costs per hour (you need 4 instructors present each hour the tunnel is run). Plus a counter person down stairs. Uniforms (that seem to fall apart after a month of continuous tunnel blasting) that have to be replaced. Maintenance. --Of the tunnel (a major renovation was just made) --Of the building --Of the grounds --Of the parking lot Advertising. Insurance (let me tell you about -this- escalating cost!) Grounds keep. Loan repayments/month are enormous (to the bank, plus investors) Add to that, shouldn't the investors be allowed to make a profit from their input? I mean, if I had an operation, shouldn't it make sense that it was a wise investment? A profit, not a loss? Or even a break-even. I'm sure I've not mentioned some of the other costs that those of us don't even see as well. If a business doesn't make a profit, it may as well just pass up the opportunity. We'd all love to think any business is there just for us...a philanthropic investment toward our happiness. Wish it were so, here...but that would be just nuts (from a business/investment point of view). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. Was it in his pocket when he became an honorary 'Mud Hen'? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Not sure this can happen. Take the cost of power in CA......you can't lower the price of operation, so the cost to the consumer can't be dropped below that. It'd make more economic sense to close the tunnel rather than run in the red. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Yep. Clean tidey-bowl thankfully. Ended up giving that phone away... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Ah, so our cold front finally got 1/2 way across the country now! Warm fireplace, blankets, and drink vibes coming your way. Makes a great 1 day activitiy...then you -really- want out of the house to play after that... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. This consern had crossed my mind last week as well, as I scanned the SkyVenture web site. Some sites that may impact our operation. --Perris --Hollywood (Universal Studios) --Ontario (Mills Mall) --Silicon Valley (Union Landing) --Las Vegas I'd be interesting to read SkyVenture's marketing plan. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  18. Cervical traction works well for some people. Glad it helped you out. Dave, the recommendation for you to see an orthopedic doctor is the best line of attack. If this doctor feels you need more attention, he can direct you to a neurologist for further diagnosis and testing. Physical therapy can assist you with getting 'back on your feet' and can set you up with a home traction unit if it's a good course of action for you. However, first ask your orthopedist. You -can- do yourself harm if it's not recommended for your condition. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  22. For those of you in the winterland, you probably have us beat at Perris today. However, since we got the report from manifest that it was -15 degrees C at altitude, thought I'd calculate what it -really- felt like up there today! (think that manifest was trying to make us feel good when the ground winds picked to over 30mph and we couldn't jump for awhile...) See Calculation Here Burrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. I knew some people who would stuff the return envelope with religious paraphernalia and send it back. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. Great bad weather flick when we're all waiting around for the sky to clear. Watched it a few years back when the NSL-SSL meet was being held up at Elsinore. Not much to do when you're waiting around and skydivers are easily entertained. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
