Video: Check Extra Shoes: Check Thanks, Mom! :^) The rain has progressed to overhead overnight. News is making this story #1 (out ranked even the Presidential Race in the morning news). The storm is -supposed- to be over and done with by Thursday. Which means great skydives available as long as you don't mind swimming back from touch down. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Unless you land in the Perris Mud Hen's lake that surrounds the landing area right now! If you land there, you're on your own... Last winter we all saw one of Katalyst's team members land out there in the mud, try to take a step and sit down on her butt! She was SO mad that she just sat there for at least 5 minutes. She was safe, just completely covered in mud....and you -bet- the truck wasn't going out there and getting stuck. A TORRENTIAL rain is on the way, they say. Los Angeles is flooding in many areas as we speak! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yeah, thought I read somebody's post just recently that said November was traditionally a slow month for Perris. This year is going to be another great one! Thanks B.C. for joining our DZ team!

http://paktribune.com/news/index.php?id=81435 Why Women Live Longer Sunday October 24, 2004 (1341 PST) ISLAMABAD, October 25 (Online): Women live longer than men in just about all parts of the globe. But why?. No one has provided exact scientific proof, but the National Women's Health Information Center offers some contributing factors:. * Men tend to smoke and drink more than women and have less healthy lifestyles. * Men do not seek medical help as often as women. * Men tend to join in fearless, risky, dangerous behaviors more than women. * Men largely define themselves by their work, which adds to their stress and hampers their emotional side. This can cause problems in maintaining relationships and careers. So ladies, get your man to visit the doctor more often, eat more green leafy vegetables, and to avoid skydiving stints with his macho friends. End. Steven Tyler fucks up the National Anthem
ltdiver replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Looks like the nay-sayers on this thread have the news on their side as well. Tyler must have been aweful! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/baseball/mlb/specials/postseason/2004/10/24/closer.ws.game1/ "Speaking of pitch, Steven Tyler needs some work on his. The national anthem singer and Aerosmith frontman was a tad on the brutal side. And not to sound like an old fogey -- like I could sound like an older fogey than Tyler -- that end-of-anthem rock-n-roll scream was uncalled for. ..." https://registration.kansascity.com/reg/login.do?url=http://www.kansascity.com%2Fmld%2Fkansascity%2Fsports%2Fbaseball%2F10000999.htm "Aerosmith's Steven Tyler begins murdering the national anthem" http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/cardinals/story/2E354F72CBEAA59B86256F370025CCAC?OpenDocument&Headline=Fox+scores+with+restraint+in+wild+game "Off key What is there about Cardinals World Series appearances and strange national anthem performances? Fox showed Steven Tyler's unconventional rendition during its pregame coverage Saturday, when Tyler inserted some unintelligible screeching gibberish near the end of the song. In 1968, NBC aired Jose Feliciano's controversial rendition before Game 5 of the Cards-Detroit series. "I think it was the worst thing I ever heard in my life," Bob Gibson, the Redbirds' star of that series, has said." ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Steven Tyler fucks up the National Anthem
ltdiver replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in Speakers Corner
Any country's national anthem, no matter -how- it is played or sung, should in it's entirety be dignified and bring it's people to attention in tribute. Although Hendrix rendition is not the 'norm', I believe he did deliver on the above. I did not hear Tyler's presentation, but by the description here in this thread it doesn't appear that he captured the dignity that is owed our country and its history. I've heard horrible presentations of our U.S. Anthem at ball games, and the performer actually was 'booed' during the song. Most patriots know what pride is encompassed throughout our adopted song, once Key penned the lyrics. Go back and read ALL the stanzas. When performed by a true artist it -will- bring you to tears. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Top mount two cameras on an Optik Illusion
ltdiver replied to djmarvin's topic in Photography and Video
I saw an Optik at Nationals where a cameraflyer had put a flat plate on top to extend the mounting area. I never found out who's it was and how he liked it. Wish I had taken a picture now. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Might want to send a PM to SBS (Steve Sanderson) here. He tore his ACL, had the surgery, and recovered nicely enough to rack in the silver medal at Nationals this year in skysurfing (camera). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ok. Simple question that I can't figure out here. Please help! Swapped out my older Sony VCR for a newer one tonight. Of similar price and quality. I did -not- have this problem with my older Sony VCR. Just this new one. I have everything hooked up through my stereo's equalizer. TV. Stereo. DVD. VHS. Stereo speakers for all audio, including TV. There are in-line hook-ups for everything. RCA cables (best quality ones I could buy at Best Buy). Now for the question. I don't have paid cable hook-ups for TV watching. I have an on-the-roof antennae. It works well and I have cable hook-ups from the antennae to the livingroom. I do have a splitter for the cable to go both to the main VCR and TV, though. All channels come in as clear as an antennae can give you on -both- the TV and VCR. All except CBS and NBC (channel 2 and 4 here in my neck of the woods). These come in clear on the TV...but no matter how I configure the VCR it's VERY bad reception when viewed through there for just those 2 channels. Hmmmmm.....can't figure it out. I only use my VCR for taping tv shows I'd like to watch later...and for downloading videos from my video camera for those who want to watch their jumps. NBC has most of the programs I like to tape. :^( Anyone out there with some help?! Thanks. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, just finished voting in the warmth and comfort of my home tonight. After reading all the bashing and eye gouging that's going on between the left and right here lately in this forum, it's kind of real nice to now sit back and know they can prattle on and my job is already done. Who else out there is voting by absentee? Have you mailed your ballot in yet?

Lori, I will bring you a bottle as thanks for diagnosing my shoulder thing which the doctor said the exact same thing as you did. Since I hate doctors it was nice to have the second opinion going in

Love this quote on CNN.com's story "I think it's very nice that she apologized, but in some ways the apology almost made the comment worse because she seems to have forgotten that being a mother is a real job," Hughes told CNN. "I think it's just unfortunate to try to disparage women who have made the choice of making their families a priority." ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Thanks for using the correct abbreviation. (unlike some other posters here). For those who don't know.... PFT is Personal Fitness Trainer PT is Physical Therapist Although we both work toward improving your health, we have different focuses. PFT will educate those healthy individuals who want to improve their fitness and performance. Hats off to you as I would probably hire you to kick -my- butt into gear at a gym. PT is a health care professional who, for the most part, take broken people and guide them into functional capacity from the ground (literally) up. Once -those- people are well on their way to living again, a PFT can (and alot of times do) take them and put 'cream in their coffee'. :^) I work with PT who does this during the day at the rehab hospital where I work, then spends a couple nights/week as a PFT at people's houses...in -their- gyms. She has both licenses and enjoys them both. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
