I believe there was a fatality today at SkyDive Dallas. I was told the jumper was a student and hit the hanger while turning to final.

Hey wingnut, Are you stationed at Rhien mien(sp). I was in Frankfurt for awhile. Went to school right downtown. Where do you jump? Curious just in case I end up there again. -e

I love parachutes, round, square, old or new. I love them all.

Poor wingnut, if it helps at all I know EXACTLY how you feel - desperate, lonely, aching - you're addicted, obsessed , you know that don't you?? No cure, hopeless, helpless. How do I know???? I am missing someone too, and I hate it. I'll bet they are having a real ball without us too. Can't say who, so I posted anonymously - gee, how brave am I??? Never mind, we will survive, we have too, life must go on - BASE jumping may not be the answer..... So hang in there, they've only been gone 4 days (sob, cry, weep) and they will have to return eventually. Meanwhile - have you tried s........ na, forget it, just hang in there.

Anyone ever see any of these old rigs with the belly reserves for sale? Or have they all been regulated to the bottom of the pile in the DZs jump locker or as wall hangers?
-
Actually, porters coul dbe outfitted with a cargo drop hatch or the same thing could be used to mount an aerial camera. However it is only about 2 1/2' by 3 1/2' so it might be hard to get out of, but cool if you could.

I just read in the paper this morning that an experienced Canadian jumper died in Deland on Friday. Apparently the cause was another hook turn gone wrong. My prayers go out to his family and friends. Blue Skies Forever- Skymama

OK folks, here is a little background. I was sitting in my religion class at college this past Tuesday and realized that I couldn't get my mind off of skydiving. I pulled out my notebook and just started writing this. Remember, I am my no-means a poet/writer/creative writer/etc. It is just something that I thought would take away the burn of not being able to do AFF until 2002. Tell me what you think: ---------------------------- Passing The Test As I step into my rig, I double-check all my gear. I load into the CASA And hear engines in my ear. Some people are sitting, Some strapped to the floor. The last person gets on, And they shut the jumpdoor. The CASA roars-up and flies to the sky. Everyone on this load is ready to fly. Everyone is waiting For the same thing to happen. The plane leveling out, And a signal from captain. We tighten our helmets And check-out our rigs. We head to the jumpramp Like a herd full of pigs. He lowers the door And the first group gets on. They see the green-light And then they are gone. Everyone jumps out in our own special way. Some groups, some single, For some, their first day. Everyone freefalls And pulls the ripcord. When the canopy fills-up We all thank the Lord. We float back to Earth While under our main. We land on our feet And avoid hitting a plane. We pick-up our rigs. We've passed another test. When we're all done repacking, We head back to manifest. -Brandon Wren Use this all you want, but please don't change it and keep my name with it! Blue skies...

I am so damn jealous....I can't start AFF until May 2002. I guess trying to get a job packing and watching will have to hold me over. Oh well, by the time it comes, I'll have enough money in my account at the DZ to do it all!! Good luck, bro!! Blue ones (especially on Sunday

wow.....sounds like some real off-hand views on this. I am sure that there is God. If there wasn't, we wouldn't have anything to jump in, land on, jump out of, or land under. God created everything including you...so you should recognize. REMEMBER: There is a hell of a lot more freefall time jumping from heaven than from hell!!
-
Just another round. Although I have thought about buying one to jump for fun.

Hey Jason, good job kickin those jump’s asses! And best of luck on the rest. Hope the weather doesn’t screw with you. Make sure and let everybody here know how you did! Josh

Sangiro, I live near DC and my home DZ is Skydive DelMarVa. Will you be visiting there at all? I'll be there the weekend of the 21st. Hope you have safe travels (and blue skies across the board!) Elisa -

Hi My son is in the Navy and must love your site. He sends me postcards from the site regularly which I seem to have an inordinately difficult time accessing. Suggestions? Richard Baker rbaker2001@aol.com
