When Chuck and Guido did they're 500th and 100th I couldn't pie because I had never been pied. I did get to hold though. Still a lot of fun.

So I learned something new tonight. This was my first boogie. I jumped with JP(Deuce), Richard, and Lisa on a 4 way. A gentleman by the name of Jack and McGowan were doing video. I was having a frickin panic attack before I ever got in the plane. Pretty nervous jumping with experienced people and never been on video before. I choked. The exit funneled and I beat myself up pretty bad for my mistakes on the dive. Deuce talked to me later that afternoon. He gave me some advice and I felt better but it still hung heavy on me. Lisa did a 2 way with me the next day and it went well. Very well actually. Still I couldn't let go of that 4-way. I saw the video and I looked so awful. Somehow I had forgot basic skills...like arching and presenting myself to the relative wind??? How the hell could I forget that? Although I love the sport and I think this is the greatest thing I've ever done I was thinking maybe its not for me... Yep it was a pity party and I brought the dip. I let it bug me enough that I was hesitant about jumping with other people at the boogie because I might fuck it up. I went to my OA meeting tonight were I spoke about it to a long time member. He told me ok let's think about it. Do you really think that they were hanging out all weekend going "Man we could have had the world record if Ed didn't fuck it up". "Yeah that bastard! We'll never jump with him again!" He mentioned that was pretty self-centered of me to think like that. I had to agree. All of a sudden it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and everything was ok. There were so many great people I met. Had a great sitfly with Vallerina and Seth. My first shuttlecock exit with Lummy and Cornholio. My first Skyvan ride. The first time I've actually landed off the landing area(no shit really). Learned some new packing skills from Phree. Hell he even offered to do some CRW with me. Kristy was so cool. She offered to take me to the ranch when I get to New York. I can't wait till she puts on a rig for her first AFF jump. Great heart in that girl. Lisa took me on a great 2 way and gave me some coaching. Thank you so much darling it meant a lot. Deuce...yeah I was ready to go and put on the baggy suit. Thanks for the talk. Of course the 4-way. I got invited to jump with people with hundreds of jumps and were very experienced. Had to great guys flying camera. It was a beautiful day. I learned a slapping game. I met Bill and Amy from my own DZ that I never had even talked to before. Got to party with great people. By the way my brother was stoked talking with everyone. Thanks wingnut! I hadn't spoke to my family in months. I had a fucking great time. Compared to what my life was like 2 years ago I have come a long way. The point is I had a great experience and I let one minor thing get the best of me. The world doesn't revolve around my fuck ups and I have to remember that. Looking forward to the next boogie. Whew...Yep. I've used an english wheel and it sucks. It would probably maim Bill. I think he might do ok with the TIG welding.

This is Dick Sportingwood reporting live from Skydive Perris. Within a few hours the participant's of the DZ.Com boogie will be arriving. They will display amazing feats of alcohol consumpsion, ass grabbing, and hedonisom. There may also be some skydiving I'm told. Right now conditions are quiet. Winds are very calm and it's really starting to warm up. It's a little hazy but there isn't a cloud in the sky. Dick Sportingwood signing off...

YAY! Actually thanks. I was warned of dust devils and given quite a good briefing by a friend but it would help me more if I was looking across the DZ. I'll look you up tomorrow if you are there. Ed

oh fuck...just when I thouhgt I had it down.. Man I really need to check this place out first. I'm more of a visual person and I'm sure I can set up visual indiacators which will help me with direction. LOL oh shit I hate jumping at a DZ for the forst time. I was at a two way camp with Jeff Jones. I had mentioned my stomach surgery and he asked about a scar. I showed him, he showed me his and now I see yours. Well that was probably the crappiest story ever told but it just struck me weird. Ed

Man too funny. I've been perscribed at least 6 of those drugs in the past. (ok fuckers I'm ok now) Because I would have such a difficult time sleeping. Of course I would build up a tolerance to one and they would switch to another one. Anyway I ate some food and feel way better. Thanks Ed

Ok took the clothes and threw them in a garbage bag. Took the soap, toothbrush/paste, razor threw them in a grocery bag. Bought new socks, shorts, and a tee shirt and let them in the bag. Packed the gear with loving care and it's ready to go. Washed dishes and threw out trash. Ok I'm ready to go to Perris. Was gonna leave tomorrow night but gonna leave in the morning and get situated there. check out the place and so on. Anyone else gonna be there about mid-day? If so I'd like to hook up and maybe you can give me a quick briefing about the place. Man I'm sooo excited. Ed

Man I just took 2 of those metab-o-life pills that a girl from the office gave me. Whew...brutal. I took it in the past but I don't remember it hitting me this hard. Any of you guys take this or any of the ephedra laced stuff life ripped fuel. Pretty harsh isn't it? Ed
