oh, no declawing, life is more exciting when you live on the edge. Plus I'd love to see the video of someone trying to fly with a kitty attached to his face. Fly it like you stole it!

So I walked out into the living room to watch some TV and the cat was sitting on the couch next to a magazine. When I got over there I saw what he was doing. He was eating the page with the square 1 add that says everytime you order from another gear store a kitten dies....... I still can't stop laughing. Fly it like you stole it!

Hmmmm....lets see I would load that at ~3:1 just like Derek loads his 60, so I guess technically if some tiny person with big balls and a lot of skill wanted to land it, it could be done. Fly it like you stole it!

I like this solution! (guess I'm just lazy ) I admire those who like to sew (men included, AggieDave), but I just don't have the patience or stomach to sit down and just sew. I actually dated a guy a few years back that loved to create and sew skydiving stuff. It was GREAT! He was quite talented, too. One camera suit he modified to have long pant legs or shorts (depending on the season) and he'd just take the legs off or on depending on his mood. ltdiver You know when making the pants sewing is the easy part. It takes me hours to design, cut the pattern, piece it together, and adjust everything so it fits together right. Derek probably does a totaly of 30 minutes sewing. Fly it like you stole it!

I've now made 4 pairs of pants, for mens pants I use McCall's pattern 9583, and just add extra length at the bottom of the leg for the elastic (I've done the velcro thing and it was more work than it was worth). I can't find the women's pattern that I used but it was a simple jeans/cargo pant pattern that I adjusted for length and ankle width. Hooknswoop has a tandem master version with cordura on the knees and butt and lots of pockets. Tequilagirl and I have the chick version with a cordura butt and tiedye ankle material. Hancock fabrics seems to have the best selection of poly-cotton around here and cordura and binding tape I got threw para-gear. We used E-thread since that seems to stand up the best. It's best to call the manufacturer, cause i think it depends on the manufacturer. Fly it like you stole it!

Well there is a 99% chance that Derek can't make it to Perris due to him getting a new job, and at the moment I'm still planning on going and driving. My planned route is I-70 from Denver to Las Vegas then I-15 to CA. I'm planning on leaving Denver the 20th and Leaving Perris the 26th, so if anyone is along the route and needs a ride just holler. I can definately fit 1 extra person and possibly 2 if you don't mind being a little cramped in the backseat. Fly it like you stole it!

Well it depends on the line, vectran and HMA don't shrink so you have to look for wear, spectra does shrink and is usually out of trim before it wears out. You can tell when vectran needs to be replaced, the line is very grey and very fuzzy (~400 jumps) Spectra is more shrinkage and you may need to contact the manufacturer about how much is acceptable. (usually ~400 jumps) HMA - you will have to contact PA, since I know very little about it, but it's like vectran on it depends on wear. Fly it like you stole it!

If I'm correct the odyssey has the new kind of leg strap thread threws (2 peices of stainless laying on top of another) rather than the old kind (bar that slides up and down). If it does, you have nothing to worry about they don't slip at all. Fly it like you stole it!

Hmmmmm.....Let me think about this....Hmmmm.....Ummm.... NO.... Fly it like you stole it!

WOO HOO!!!!!! *happy boo dance* I'm so glad you tried Elsinore, I knew a change in DZ would help!!!! You made it over the hump, you have your A and it's all down hill from here. Don't ever worry about your abilities, you will be smoking in no time, especially with all the people you will get to know from here who will be lining up to jump with you. (It's about time you started posting). btw...you still need to tell me who the skygod instructor was so I can kick him in the shins when I'm out at the end of the month. Fly it like you stole it!

Had. Had to sell it when I moved to Houston, and haven't gotten around to getting a new one (probably an R6) my old one was an 89. Oh and I'm a wuss, highest I went to was 100mph. Back on the subject of wingloading. With and exit weight of 120, the biggest change I felt in WL was from 1.2 to 1.3 (5000 ft msl) which right now is when I add 10 lbs of lead for belly flying. From 1.1 to 1.2 (sea level) I couldn't tell a difference at all. This was all on crossfires, btw.. Fly it like you stole it!

well the base jumping part would be a no no, but I can easily beleive that someone got around to cleaning out the closest finally found thier old rig from lets say the early 80s and decided to sell it, not knowing that things have changed A LOT. Fly it like you stole it!

no no no...please continue with the bikes, I used to have an FZR600 Fly it like you stole it!

I'm definately one lucky chicky....hookie poo is always telling me how proud he is of me. When I got my 104 he was so proud that his baby could fly a tiny canopy, when I did the MT women's state record and flew like a dream, he told everyone he came up to that it was his baby flying her slot (you have to see the video), he is definately my strongest supporter. Luv ya babe! Fly it like you stole it! -

My feelings on the raven issues....lets just say we are about to find out how may jumps it takes to blow up a tootsie pop. Oh and I totally agree that we as a consumer should be told as soon as there is a problem. I mean PA knew for years the webbing was sub-standard, Icarus know for a while people were having issues with the crossfire (not sure how long but I knew of one guy they made a new canopy for due to it in June of 2001), and now mirage it appears waited 9 months. On the other hand they claim they only had 2 reports of breaking pins, so I'll give them a little slack in thinking it was a single pin issues until the 2nd one popped up. Of course on the other hand, they are making available a 0 cost to the customer option, and even if you want a new one right away, if you send your old one in it's $15 rather than full price. You know I wonder how the recall of the RW-1-82 rings back in the 80s on vectors was handled. Fly it like you stole it!
