Yes it is...It's your 120 that Greg wanted and convinced you that a 97 would be a much better canopy for you. Fly it like you stole it!
-
Oh come on.....let's see some shots while getting the air out of the canopy! Preferably standing by the container! Your wish is my command. Fly it like you stole it!

Careful, Derek already said I get to pack your reserve when you come up. Fly it like you stole it!

Ouch I lucked out and got my cast off in 4 weeks then 2 weeks of a splint/brace. Was back up on the mountain finally last Tuesday, with the brace on my wrist for support. Worked out pretty good. Then again I was lucky, it was just a small fracture. Hope yours heals as quick. Fly it like you stole it!

exactly Dave, it depends on how you fold your pilot chute. I have a Reflex (cordura BOC) and a Mirage (Spandex BOC), if I pack my pilot chute the way I do for my Reflex and stuff it in my Mirage I tend to have hard pulls, and if I pack my pilot chute the way I pack it for my mirage and stuff it in my Reflex I have hard pulls. So what works for one kind of BOC does not work for the other. Reflex way is a version of Brian Germains way, Mirage way is the way hooknswoop packs them. Fly it like you stole it!

What did you do for your 100th jump?

If you miss it that much you can sleep in it when you come up here. It's sitting in my closet all lonly having been replaced by a much smaller (so hooknswoop can't get away) backpacking tent. Fly it like you stole it!

*rolleyes* for a state with so few jumpers, I can't beleive the amount of politics. Fly it like you stole it!

I held on to mine too.... I was trained to look at my handles grab right grab left pull right pull left, arch. The whole time I was looking at my handles, I'm arching looking at my handles thinking what is taking my reserve so long. Oh, it's over my head..... landed with my handles still in my hands. Didn't realize it until after I landed that I never even bothered to stow them in my jumpsuit. Fly it like you stole it!

That was a good article. Tracking one, right? It made me feel more secure about my super-flat, but slow track. Yep that is the one

Those kind of fit in the beer category....they are sold in grocery stores. I would have sworn I saw her stumbling around with one of the beer cups in her hand....guess something other than beer was in it. Fly it like you stole it!

How long since your last jump!?
skycat replied to lukepinion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Does this mean I won't see you this weekend at SDTR? I'm working today (saturday), but I'll try and come down sunday, although you won't see me in the air. Fly it like you stole it! -
How long since your last jump!?
skycat replied to lukepinion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I broke my wrist snowbarding in December so that combined with other things that were going on, I haven't jumped since early December. Now that I'm out of the cast I still cant jump cause it is way to freaking cold. Fly it like you stole it! -
Some of the differences -the main pin protection (when I land my main pin cover is still closed) -internal riser covers -side flaps wrap around the bottom of the container creating a more integrated bridal protection. The S versions are a lot shorter, but they are also thicker. I'm the same size as you and my container doesn't sit on my butt at all. I have hip rings only and everything on the harness is really adjusted to work with my small size. You may want to PM tequilagirl about how the chest rings are working out for her. Yah, that's what I thought too. So, why don't you go do something naughty, Kelli, and then post it here. Me thinks the crowds will enjoy that much more. LOL. Derek is such a lucky guy. And as for the pic with the cat and the gun.......POST IT! POST IT!!!!!! Well tequilagirl is coming to town in a few weeks, so I know we will have some good stories after that. As for the pic, tell hook to post it since it was his idea. Fly it like you stole it!

Maybe you want my cat after all, he is a water drinking freak, gets in the shower after I'm done to lick up water. So UTI aren't an issue, although hairballs, *UCK* usually see one a week coughed up. Hmmm...you know we had that talk about cranberries in the womens forum.....I wonder if they would work on him. Fly it like you stole it!
-
You have to understand the hate hate relationship they have and the fact that the pic Derek really wanted posted was one with him holding a gun to the cat's head. Carefull on your offer pammi....or you might end up one day with a box from CO and a little red cat in it. I can already hear Derek trying to convince me that Mem just went for a little walk, and that he would be right back. Fly it like you stole it!

I don't know where you are from or where you jump or anything, but I think the best place for someone who has never done a landing of their own is a working tandem. If you do a tandem with someone like Derek, doesn't matter if you plan to continue or not, your canopy control course starts at 4000 ft. Then you have someone right there telling you what your slider is and what it is doing, what to do to unstow toggles, where the wind indicator is, pretty much everything. Then you get to see 1st hand, how to do a landing pattern, S-turns, and get a feel of when you are suppose to flare. That is why the AFP program works and there are DZs putting students out on ZP canopies. So if you have the money, I highly recommend a tandem, not for the freefall, but for the canopy control.
