    a few of mine are signed by the famous Herbie Versmells I think the logbook signing thing is a good thing for low timers, as it does slightly keep people honest, plus its a great way to introduce yourself to other jumpes on the load, especailly at a new DZ or something. MB 3528, RB 1182

    it does look pretty fake, but i really can't say why. first 2 shots were definitly justified. If he had stopped there, i personally would have given him a slap on the back. Its the third shot thats a little iffy. MB 3528, RB 1182

    anyone notice the weirdness of the second motorist? Apparently this Patrick Haab guy hands a gun to somebody he doesn't know, this "motorist" happens to speak spanish and is asking the mexicans whether they crossed illegally, then the motorist leaves before the cops show up (and hes a witness?). This sound like Patrick had another guy from his border militia group thing around, who interrigated the mexicans, then left before the cops show up because it would look bad. This Patrick guy was playing mr. policeman. MB 3528, RB 1182

    Just remember to chop it before it burns too far. You DO want it to release from you before tossing good nylon, right? If it burns to the point of little drag before chopping, you're going to have a bad day. well at that point, you would be basically in freefall, so the burning lines wouldn't be touching you. plus 120 mph winds i bet puts out a basically a string on fire.     I recently did a jump where we did a high hop N pop and bumped end cells. When somebody bumped mine, it caused both canopies to do a quick shudder and turned us away from each other about 20 degrees. When I watched the same jumper bump end cells with another person, his canopy did another shudder, and turned and dove in front of the other guys. The bottom jumper had to walk across the other guys canopy. is this a normal issue with bumping end cells? or maybe it occurs only on fairly highly loaded ZP canopies? (canopies were triathalon at 1.3, crossfire2 at 1.9, and sabre at 1.) how do you CRW guys deal with this, if it happens to you? (note, I have no CRW experience so forgive this if its a dumb question. I want to try real CRW at some point so I want to learn) MB 3528, RB 1182

    a guy at our DZ has one, he really liked it till it had a premature on the step. so he spent a couple hundred dollars getting the mods to make it better protected and freefly friendly. i would have just spent that extra money getting a better container from the beginning. MB 3528, RB 1182

    Thats a horse shoe too, well, unless it just plain rips off the snag. A horse shoe is when any part or the main is touching you (appart for the risers at the 3 ring of course). yeah I mean when the main catches the container as its being deployed, and rips off or tears up the container. I'm not sure what it would be called MB 3528, RB 1182

    if you have to ask, then you are probably worried a little... so do a few jumps on the 235 to get back into the swing of things, then once you feel comfortable you can jump your 210. MB 3528, RB 1182

    while any high speed mal is fairly dangerous, because their is less time to deal with it, horseshoes are the worst mal IMO. if you can't get the canopy off of you or your gear before you pull reserve, you have a big risk that it might entangle with your reserve. another one that worries the hell outta me, even though its not common, is when the main somehow catches on the reserve container while deploying. I've heard about reserve containers being torn off, or people dieing from this. MB 3528, RB 1182
