in high school me and my friends told everyone in school how we caught this guy jerking it in the school bathroom. poor guy got teased about it for weeks. only problem was that he really did never do it. my friends made it up. man we were assholes back then MB 3528, RB 1182

that was pretty damned funny. it reminded me of thumb wars... anyone else seen that one? MB 3528, RB 1182

if that thing was only 2 inches longer i would wonder how you got a picture of mine. MB 3528, RB 1182

i'd say less then 100 for someone whos doing RW, less then 200 for someone doing FF. MB 3528, RB 1182

ahaha she put it perfectly. MB 3528, RB 1182

i heard the $1 jumps are from a cessna... not sure of the altitude they will give you either. MB 3528, RB 1182

yeah i didn't go to last years boogie so i don't know what happened, but you certainly did some great stuff this year. although next year people need to not wuss out and sign up for some night jumps!!! MB 3528, RB 1182

something just occurs to me... I bet female low timers do much less solos then male low timers. MB 3528, RB 1182

Forgive me for seeming ignorant, but why is this a recipe for disaster?? I have only just been introduced to the world of skydiving, and am curious to know what angle you are coming from??? Thanks in advance.. because low-timers are more prone to making mistakes or errors in judgement in the air. so putting a bunch of low timers all together at once is dangerous because they might all track in the same direction, approach the formation at 50 mph, etc. MB 3528, RB 1182

its gets easier every time you do it. i used to whine and sweat when i first started packing, but 400+ packjobs later its fairly easy. oh and try doing it on a rubber tarp spread over concrete like i did this weekend... your sweat turns the rubber into a slip-n-slide as you try to pack. :7:0 went up to the redemption boogie in nebraska. Got to do some fun 8-12 ways. MB 3528, RB 1182

yes, because if they do good, then its funny to see how proud and excited they are. If they screw up and I have to chase them all over the sky, then I get to improve my skills on chasing people MB 3528, RB 1182

don't worry all that much about what was written down for your first S/L. Most people on their first jump don't do it perfectly for one reason... because its the first time they've ever done it!!! just practice, practice, practice your arch on the ground and listen to your JMs MB 3528, RB 1182

everyone knows that skygirls will only go out with guys with more jumps then them... how else will they get free coaching? you're gonna have to find one with 26 jumps or less MB 3528, RB 1182

i heard those spinner hubcaps are a lot of money... how much are they generally? if it was anything over the price of a jump tickets, screw it, i got something better to spend the money on... a jump ticket. MB 3528, RB 1182

i agree. also, if your main is only attached by one side, it will not fly, and you will be heading down at a fast rate... you won't have much time to try to pull out your hook knife and start cutting. MB 3528, RB 1182

Oil Price Rise = Jump Ticket Price Rise?
bch7773 replied to Adriandavies's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm wondering how long the price raise per barrel of oil "trickles" down to Av-gas... are we talking a few days, or is there enough Av-gas "in the pipe" so that it takes several months before the price goes up? MB 3528, RB 1182 -
then buy a new rope, and a peice of plastic tubing. if you put it on correctly, then you won't have to worry about the wear as much. MB 3528, RB 1182

ah the fun of only having a cell phone... i never ever get telemarketers calling. MB 3528, RB 1182

people don't get mini rings and smaller risers to reduce drag, excepting a few swoopers. most skydivers get them to look cooler or be in with the cool crowd. MB 3528, RB 1182

I'll be there. I just hope the best dressed contest is better this year. hint hint to dz.com ladies MB 3528, RB 1182

either they can calculate the flight path really well and can tell the boats not to be in that area, or i guess they do the big ocean theory... basically says you have a really good chance of not hitting anything since the ocean is so big. MB 3528, RB 1182

The ultimate jump ? Would it physically be possible ?
bch7773 replied to PLFKING's topic in The Bonfire
i think you would have to strap yourself on somehow... i'm pretty sure even if it only pulled 3 Gs, most people wouldn't be able to hold on. and it probably pulls more then 3 Gs. MB 3528, RB 1182 -
according to this site, the chances of terrorists having suitcase nukes is very low, even then the bombs would probably not work. even if they did work perfectly, their highest yeild would be less then 1 kt. add up all those probabilities and you get something that the general public shouldn't worry about. I wear a hook knife for one reason... Its better to wear a 6 ounce chunk of metal for 1000 jumps and never need it, then it is to have 1 jump where you would need it and you don't have one. MB 3528, RB 1182
