  1. I did my 100th naked, its a tradition at my DZ. Its one of those things you should do just to say you did it. MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. Heh... I saw someone do that once. They had 2 black eyes for weeks. that really happened? wow, I didn't realize the air pressure difference was enough to cause that. MB 3528, RB 1182
  3. its the packing that gets you. and even then its not the heat, but the humidity. nothing like laying down to squeeze the air out and the ZP just sticks to you. MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. Not everyone lives in the US and not everyone here jumps from 14k. your poll results will not be valid. MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. Is this in the IRM somewhere? I flipped through mine and couldn't find anything. I beleive its because the USPA won't allow coach courses being held at non-group DZs. but lets not get into that argument, search the forums because its been argued before. MB 3528, RB 1182
  6. I think you are misreading my post. I suggested doing it with everclear... its a type of liquer. bascially, if you inhale the fumes... ummm thats what you do normally while drinking. and a lighter full of fuel is no more dangerous then a candle, which we have also used. Unless you melt the plastic off the lighter, the fuel cannot suddenly burst out and kill you no more then if you use a lighter to light fireworks or cigerattes. I understand that firebreathing with chemicals or oils is more dangerous and shouldn't be tried, etc. MB 3528, RB 1182
  7. do it with everclear. Simply fill mouth with it, hold candle or lighter in front of mouth, and try to blow out a mist above the candle. if you screw it up and just spit out everclear onto the candle, drop it and put out the fire on your hand. MB 3528, RB 1182
  8. it would depend on the canopy type as well, yes? MB 3528, RB 1182

  13. we use radios at my DZ and it works fine. The only time we've had a problem is when a student had a cutaway and the reserve risers knocked his radio off his helmet. He did a nice landing by himself though. MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. I went with the pants and jacket way... although I haven't bought a jacket yet. someone at my DZ has, and he said the jacket never comes out of the pants. I looked at his, and the jacket extends several inches into the pants then is tucked in. MB 3528, RB 1182
  15. I don't think you could use a disposible... how would you wind it up with your toe? I think you could use a really cheap auto camera though, and press the button each time with your toe. MB 3528, RB 1182
  16. A rigger I know makes them for like 10 bucks, ask your local riggers if they can make em or have any extras laying around. MB 3528, RB 1182

  19. I had the rather unpleasent experience of jumping a canopy that didn't have its brakes stowed (someone else packed it) what does that do to the opening? For me, it felt really hard and shook me around alot, then partially opened with end cell closure and the slider was about 3/4ths of the way up. I looked up and saw both toggles in their keepers, but with no brake line stowed. I shook the rear risers and the problems fixed themselves. is this normal for unstowed brake line openings? Has anyone else managed to do this? MB 3528, RB 1182
  20. yes I have for my 100th. it was a very weird feeling, having the wind hit all of you. I did it with a couple others and so it wasn't too bad MB 3528, RB 1182
  21. I'd hit that MB 3528, RB 1182

  25. my problem is that the stores never have the Super-Extra long, Extra wide condoms that I have to use. I mean, even the extra-large condoms just aren't big enough. MB 3528, RB 1182
