  1. You need to move also...Nothing is keeping you inthat god forsaken part of the country either. Here is a hint...If it snows...Keep moving south "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  2. Florida was 70 today. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  3. You fuckers really need to move. Its COLD...so lets play with ICE???? Leave that god forsaken part of the country and move to a place you can jump year round. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. Because its cool to have a small rig...And that mean you need a small reserve. BTW my reserve is bigger than my main. PD113 baby. But I have had it since I was stupid. (1995). My nest reserve will be bigger even though the PD113 flew great on all my 6(?) rides. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  5. FRAP HATS ARE BLACK DEATH!!!!!!! Feel better? Oh yeah, RSL's kill and CYPRES's (CYPRESI???) are for loosers. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  6. Dumbass get better...and don't be stupid. Basketball is dangerous shit...you don't see me playing...(Of course Im only 5'6") "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  7. Yep thats pretty much it...However have the solo go down, not just dip the torso. If he just dips the torso he might move in more than he wants...That would be bad. The IC moves all the way through and tries to stop, not accelerate. (he will move, but he should not try). 8. So you have a really good handling lawn mower? I don't think they are NEEDED....But it is nice. Again its like doing acro in a Cessna 150 aerobat, or a Pitts Special. I can't do everything the Pitts can do, but its lots of fun to fly "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. I think they are of more value in smaller faster ways...I would do a 100way without booties much sooner than a 4way without booties. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  10. Not if it is just the upper part of the solos body going under....His feet don't "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

    Retirement fund

I have been in my retirement plan (401) since I was 21. Im 31 now. Been putting in 10% for most of that time. Company matches 500.00 a year. My company also has a traditional retirement account...I have 13 years in that. I also have a military disability. 12. No. Don't wear a full face. You could hit the student with it. You can't talk to them with it. It removes the "person" from their thoughts and can add to fear. I wear a frap hat..Not to protect my head from impact, but from riser slap. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. Good question... Short answer. Get them Long answer. Get them now. Longer answer... I gave a friend of mine an old Jump Suit of mine. She was hot, and it never looked that good on me. We had another friend that told her not to wear it since it had booties and she should learn to fly her body first. (A valid point). I asked her if she planned on getting booties at some time. She said yes...I told her to wear them now. She asked about learning to fly her body...I asked her if she was going to learn to jump nakid before she started wearing a JS? (I would have jumped with her on every jump if she did) Then after say 20 nakid jumps she could wear socks...Then maybe panties and a sexy little bra. A little much huh? Well Booties are there to help you...Just like a JS is. My point is if you plan on doing RW, and plan on using booties...Get them now. Want to learn to fly your body? Jump nakid...And call me first. 14. True, however its like doing acro in a Cessna Aerobat or a Pitts special. I would rather have them. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  15. Could be I don't usually follow movie accidents, or stunts... "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  16. I don't know. I dont have every incident report memorized I get a little fuzzy at events that happend before I started jumping...Even more fuzzy at events that happend before I was born. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. Point goes UNDER not over. After the vert he starts to get big as soon as the IC goes over him. Think about it. To put my body under your I just have to miss by inches. To go over I have to clear your feet. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  18. Im thinking of a civilian jump in the 70's out of a beach 18. They were over solid overcast and getting info from center to determine the exit point. Problem is center was looking at the radar return for another airplane. All that jumped died. There was an artical on it in Parachutist last year. 19. They do some. Airspeed did a sweet move in Eloy in 2000. Eagle went right over the top on exit and the donut piece did a little over 180. It probably should have been abust, but they got away with it. They changed it slightly, and the donut piece turns more now. At terminal some teams do a *Slight* vertical with the solo going under the second guy. For most teams its not worth trying. Can go with front solo or rear...I will describe the front in the way my team was doing it. The solo gives the key. The OC person he is on BACKS straight up clearing the way for the solo to almost go straight forward. Then the IC Kicks sideways through then stops. Rear just "make it happen" Its kinda of a back/sideways move. It is a 3 piece move in the donut OC, IC then rear with a small all rotation to the finish. ALL people in the piece look at the solo. The piece will sort of move out of the way, then move back towards the solo. All people in the piece pull it in to speed it up and 2/3rds of the way through push it back out. It is one of the blocks with more than one way to do it. Beginer teams will want to rotate it more and the solo will not move more than 90 degrees or so. In this case each person just backs up at the same time...Then once it starts to spin pull it in tight. (You have to have motion for it to speed up the spin.) But yes, the solo can "cheat it " as much as you want as long as you have the right grips. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  20. There was an entire load dropped into I think Lake erie. 100% bad spot. Most times I would agree with you. But there are cases. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  21. What do you call you telling me to grow up? Besides here coments about not letting fatalities that you know of effect your choices...Then saying that her husbands would effect her. #1. Thats not consistant with what she had said before. #2. Its a valid question to ask her, and I was not the only one to ask it. #3. I really had no idea that she had answered that already, I am on here a lot, but I don't read every post. #4 My post times are always off anyway on this...Like I said I was not even here at 1 AM. This post will be sent around noon my time. It may not be polite, or PC...But I think you know me by now that I don't care about PC and I missed my college course in maners. Edit to Add: I also think you would know I don't "Troll" I ask questions to make people think, not piss them off. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  22. You grow up....My clock is not set the same as hers stud. Or are you to thick to know that. Plus I am on the east cost hero and she is west coast. Notice mine was at 1 AM? I was not even on here at 1AM. I was asleep Get a life moron. And PM your pissness next time... "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  23. Im done with this. Feel free not to listen to the people that have much more experience than you. Feel free to say skydiving is whatever you want it to be....I really am not going to argue your false definition of a word any longer. For me and most experienced folks it is not safe, however we manage the risks and do it anyway. It is funny that wuffos think its not safe....And people with a good deal of experience think its not safe, but folks with a little experience think it is safe. It leads me to think that: 1. Wuffos don't know anything about the sport. They know that anything that involves leaving a good flying airplane. Heading at a planet at 100 mph with just some training and a fabric glider that is shoved into a bag to stop you is not safe. 2. Folks that just start jumping and get a little tiny bit of information think that it is safe. 3. Folks that have years and thousands of jumps get more information and realize that there are ways to make it safer, but the very act of throwing yourself at a fast moving planet with some cool gear is not safe. Like I have said you are out of stage one and in stage two. I'm in stage three. I hope you make it to stage three, but Im done with this stupid argument. We have told you, we have shown you, and still you refuse to believe anything other than what you and your limited knowledge know. And about this: And if you have been to NY a twice and never been mugged or killed, you might think it is safe. I am done wasting my time and HH's bandwidth on this. It is clear you will not listen. don't bother responding to me. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  24. And you need to still get info about skydiving to make a choice. You seem to have made it already. Don't you find it interesting that almost everyone with over 1,000 jumps does not call skydiving safe? And that the folks with less than 300 or so seem to be the ones saying it is? Ever heard the saying "Teenagers! Tired of listening to your parents? Move out now and get a job while you still know everything!" Same thing here. Only experience will teach you about this sport. But as for proof about its dangers. Just read the incident reports and accident reports on here. Safe hobbies don't kill folks almost every week. I can bet that someone breaks something every week. That is not safe. You have said that you don't have much experience....Maybe you should delay your opinion on the saftey of the sport till you have more? 25. And I kinda like you....I really wish you would come around faster...that way you WILL be here in 10 years...but I'll wait........Has it happend yet? No?...OK I'll wait.........Now? No? DAMN! I have no paitence...I tried to speed read a few books on learning paitence...But I could not find the cliff notes so I dropped the project. It is my experience....Which is a combination of years and jumps in this sport. You are a doula right? Well I have never given birth, been in a room where it has happend and I don't even have kids. I do practice making kids every chance I get however. Now if I were to tell you that natural births done outside of a hospitall are dangerous...I would not have the experience to debate that with you. BTW I really do feel that way, but Im not going to tell you its dangerous. I would rather listen to your side of it. I would keep my mouth shut and listen and only open my mouth to ask questions. Would you give credit to my claim that natural births are dangerous? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
