Bigger tends to be slower...and slower tends to be safer....Going backwards is the only situation that I can think of that makes bigger more dangerous...I can think of several issues that makes smaller more dangerous....And the bigger higher wind issue is easy to avoid...Don't jump in high winds. When in doubt go with safer. Bigger tends to be safer. Spot as in determining the exit point. The military uses HARP to determine a "SPOT" for HALO.....You don't look out, you just go when the green light goes on. Overcast at night...You just go.
