whats the average and highest exit altitude you get AGL?
vt1977 replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Average of 13,500ish. Highest of 17,300 on a regular load. Highest skydive was 23,000 from Mullins King Air at Quincy! -
Eloy Eloy Eloy.. all I can think about is Eloy for the Holidays THE LIST.

Not me, not this year. Empuriabrava for Christmas and New Year this time. The lure of sipping cocktails by the beach was just too much... Vicki -
My experiences with Square 1 have been nothing but positive and I recommend them to anyone who asks too. Vicki

I have asthma and it has never been a problem for me when jumping. I do find that I feel myself starting to become a little hypoxic if I am above 15,000' for more than a few minutes but whether or not this is related to my asthma, I don't know. Enjoy your AFF! Vicki

Happy Birthday to Caz... who is currently sunning herself in Empuria! Vicki

Jumping at a DZ that requires an AAD
vt1977 replied to Gravitymaster's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No option for, "my current DZ requires AADs and I still jump there". I don't necessarily agree with forcing people to jump with AADs, but since I choose to jump with one the rule doesn't really bother me one way or another. Vicki -
Yes, and I have done it both times my Cypres has been for a service. Not a big deal! Vicki

I have decided to go to Empuria for Christmas and New Year this year. Beautiful scenery, good jumping and awesome nightlife. It'll be awesome!

First jump was a static line round. Never done a tandem and don't want to! If I could do my first jump all over again, I would have done AFF. Vicki

:1:2 1 jump at RAPA - owed (I guess!) for first jump at RAPA and 1st jump in Germany.

I am going up to the Nationals at Hibaldstow to pack!

I dunno... it looks to me like those weather gods need someone to sacrifice themselves to the great beer goddess by drinking those clouds away. Volunteers?! Vicki

Cheek! Better watch out, I'll be over in Empuria later this year... Vicki

I have never had anything but compliments about my favourite perfume...

LET 410 - Bye bye from Australia
vt1977 replied to DanglesOZQld's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A LET 410 is actually bigger than an otter. I have been in a (Super) Let with 25 skydivers before. In the UK we put a maximum of 16 skydivers in a Let so the ride to altitude is very comfortable and very fast! -
From BBC News: If that's right... Vicki

Friendly and close in the (south) UK?
vt1977 replied to RossDagley's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Nethers membership is (off the top of my head!) £30 per year, but they will do a one month temporary membership for £5. Again off the top of my head, Langar and Hib have no membership fee. Hopefully others can give details of membership fees at other DZs. hth Vicki -
Friendly and close in the (south) UK?
vt1977 replied to RossDagley's topic in Events & Places to Jump
If you are planning on checking out any UK DZs in the next couple of weeks, do bear in mind that this weekend a lot of teams will be training for the Nationals (so are likely to be quite focussed on their own jumping), the following weekend is the 4-way Nationals (Hib will be crawling with teams, other DZs may seem quiet!) and the weekend after that is the 8-way and artistic nationals (ditto). After that, things should get back to normal at all UK DZs! -
Friendly and close in the (south) UK?
vt1977 replied to RossDagley's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Well Nethers is very friendly with nice aircraft (Islander and Grand Caravan), good bar, awesome parties, good facilities (bunkhouse, showers etc), large indoor packing area, coaching available in all disciplines and fun people. I like it there anyway! It's not the states, but as UK DZs go, it's pretty good!
