  1. Its called massive depression - I know I've been there before. Its not an easy thing to understand - it can easily become a downward spiral for that person and unless they seek help from someone its hard to break out of. I hope your friend is doing alirght. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  2. Also - how is it being morbidly curious to want to see what happened, what the response was on the ground, and what could have been done differently. I phone two people the night I heard about the accident and asked them all of the above questions. What happened, is he alright, will he make it through, any ideas... BTW - who blatently ignored reasonable levels of restraint and how? Other than in this thread anyhow as I can fill in my name for the answer to that Just my 1 cent. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  3. You could however if you had tons and tons of time on your hands photoshop each and every frame and bring it over to Premeire and piece it back together. But we're talkin life prison sencance type of time here lolol -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  4. Actually its really hard to do up a video like that in Photoshop considering Pshop is for still stuff I've edited vid professionally on and off for the past 6 years and have yet to see anything as real as that vid. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  5. Large Juevoz needed - unreal! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  6. One time at bandcamp....... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  7. rofl - so true... "How do I fly headdown..."seems to be a pretty popular one - and although explainable, much much safer with a coach imho... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  8. "I wish people would stop using the “saving someone else’s life” as an excuse for ignoring reasonable levels of restraint. There is such a thing as morbid curiosity, and it neither benefits or helps." I humbly disagree to a certain extent. That is really all I want to do. If I may make an analogy - some people got angry when the Incident involving the now deceased Holly got out of hand, but because of some level of "morbid curiosity" and one DZ.commers comment I now bring along an extra pair of spectacles with me on every jump because I could do some serious injury to someone and or myself if I ever lost a contact. However, I am with you that restraint must and should be taken, its the line that is being discussed here. I am sincere in my desire to see Incidents discussed to the fullest extent possible - which people may not agree with and that is fine with me - for the only reason of perhaps being able to really help out a future situation. Nothing more. You do not walk in my shoes, therefore you cannot possibly know that the description "I wish people would stop using the “saving someone else’s life” as an excuse for ignoring reasonable levels of restraint" really isn't my excuse but my goal. Also, with respect to Roger's Incident thread, do you believe the forum crossed the lines of reasonable levels of restraint? Just curious. Also, I'm not trying to beat a horse dead here, and I mean no disrespect to you as I agree with 99 percent of what you say, just not the part about using saving people's lives as an excuse. I'll bet you a hundred bux that my contact will pop out someday and having those extra pair of specs around will definately help me and perhaps save someone elses rear end from my blind ass hitting them. Also, I would be willing to bet now that I know due to Roger's thread that it doesn't take going to medical school to learn the proper first responder techniques that I will soon be enrolling in those types of courses. Both examples of benefits of letting the flow of the Incident Threads go where they may. With that said, I do really agree that there should be a certain line to limit posts on, the question is, and has yet to be answered by any of the DZ.com head haunchos, where is that line. I mean that with the utmost respect to the head haunchos and that is precisley the reason I started this thread to begin with. Maybe they just need to add in more verbage into the posting guidelines in the Incident forum and then little ol me will stop thinking on ways to improve that system. Anyhow - good comments - blue skys! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  9. ... I have all of your sixes. Seriously. I hope you feel the same. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  10. Naw canuck man - I had to work all day Sat and Sun and could only make it out for one freakin balloon jump. To be honest with you though, I was going to see if I could search you out as I've only seen your mug on this here site!! I hope the rest of the boogie was a great time, Frank seemed to think everyone was havin a kickin time when I talked to him. I'll see you either this weekend or next up there though FOR FRIGGIN SURE - i.e. I'm just finishing up this extra project and will finally be gettin some freetime. PS - Are you big into sit flyin? If so, I'm hittin you up for sure. I only have about 20 head down jumps, but I've got about 100 sits and am pretty comfortable with bigger sit-ways, still new to the upside down flyin tho!!! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  11. You people are all amazing! I seriously cannot top anything said. Here is my lame attempt: no attempt made LAME -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  12. ROFL - there definately has to be a dood like that in the movie! "Um yah - I've got 26 jumps and that 56 sq ft canopy is WHERE ITS AT!!!" -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  13. See Deuce- I just shoulda freekin listened to you all to begin with. Back on tirade - you all are just so full of Boobies and Ice Cream it makes me sick ROFL To be honest with all of the DZ women, I'm definately more of a leg type of guy as well as that little spot on top of your shoulder at the base of your neck. NOW THATS where its at! Boobies are boobies and all lololol... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  14. LOL That's my little devil cat (one of four, oh yah, I have three freekin dogs too!) He has one blue eye and one gold eye - I'll let him know he has a prospect on dz.com. Here pussy cat!! ROFL -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  15. God - don't quite know what to say... I haven't gone on a forum tirade in years on the www, now that I feel like garbage for pissing so many people off, I'm going to wait a few more years. I'd make a great politician eh If anything, I now have more respect for each and everyone of you and really hope all of our paths cross someday. PS - I AM NO TROLL sheesh - I started out quick in the sport, had shoulder surgery and two knee replacements for the record. I miss the sport and am just now hopping back on the horse cuz the doc said the knee was good to go last night. Heh, little does he know, I still got 20 in over the winter as well as that kick ass balloon jump on Sunday am at mile hi. Balloons rock. Hands down. I need one. My fioncee said she'd learn to pilot heh!!! -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  16. BTW - your shit was not dumb. My semi-persobal attack was dumb. My emotions were getting out of hand and that was dumb. Seriously - blue skys and EXCEPTIONAL health to all of you and yours. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  17. Give me a ring - I set mine about a dozen times before figuring out that surgery might be a good thing. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  18. I didn't start this thread. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  19. Right on scrumpot - I guess in all honesty, it feels like people just don't care too much about what happened at SDC and I miss Roger very deeply. For my tirade I apologized and apologize again. I will now back down from my dumb pedestal and conform to this forum once again. I sincerely think that this is a great place and the moderators do a great job. I agree - everyone makes great points in this particular thread minus the bashing on me and all () and after relaxing and taking a deep breath, I'm feeling pretty bad at the moment for getting so bent out of shape. Honestly - please believe that. For awhile now, DZ.com has been my only connection to the jumper world with this bum knee of mine and having Roger die compounded the depression I've been feeling lately. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  20. No personal attack - please read my apology, but its not a personal attack. My only gripe is that you probably didn't know Roger. Again, I retract and apologize from the bottom of my heart and am sorry for trying to fasciliate change in the incorrrect fashion (i.e. for all that can't don't won't understand, I realize I fukked up in the way I tried to make my point and am truly sorry). I have no beef with anyone. I love all of you and I truly mean that. I'll jump with anyone regardless of how cool their gear is or how many jumps they have. Sincerely, Andrew -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  21. Please read my post above. I am not trying to piss anyone off here although I freely admit I got out of hand. I am not trying to be a nut. I am only trying to save lives. That is my only goal here, and IMHO speculation is a good source/learning tool in the Incident forum. divingduck - I am ranting because I just want to make damn well sure that in the future that when the next Roger incident occurs the right actions will be taken. I guess I just miss Roger. Did you know Roger? Did Roger allow you on 100 ways with 92 jumps? Did he trust in your skills?? Did he make you feel like a rock star which in turn boosted your confidence levels and allowed you to do things in the sport that 150 jump wonders aren't supossed to be able to do??? You are right though - I will cease with the [rant], and I do offer my humble apologies for coming across as an ass. If you read my other posts in the forum, this and the Roger thread are the only ones that I believe I should come across as an ass in as that was indeed my intent. I now see however, that it isn't really getting me anywhere and retract my assness. Dood. Dude. Friend. Whatever you want to call yourself. Period. BTW - the balloon rocked on Sunday at mile hi, call frank, he will confirm my presence i.e. I am not a troll. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  22. Gawd - I've been in the sport for ten years. The reason I don't have more jumps is becuase I've had two knee replacements. Also, I've never personally met Canuck as I just went out to Mile Hi for the first time in a year due to my second knee replacement. Bottomline - to all, I SINCERELY apologize for getting all bent out of shape. I am not a Troll, I care about each and everyone of you and am only trying to further that love. I apologize about the snive 7 jump remark. I've seen too friends go in over the ten years I've been in the sport, that is enough for me to have one thing figured out - the more we can do to prevent it the better. I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE TO ALL that I've gotten in the face of in this thread I was only trying to facilitate change. Lou - especially you, I am sorry for being an ass - I've read all of your posts over the past year or so and you are a very standup individual and getting back to your second post - you are right - we all want to save the most lives we can. "If you want to see how it can become stressful for family members reading about things that are sometime said take a look back at Holly's thread where there was speculation about her contacts." Because of that speculation, I now carry glasses with me in my jumpsuit to hopefully save my life and maybe someone elses in case that ever happened to me. Seriuosly - to all - I do have great love for all of you, 7 jumps, 1, 38, 4000. Skydiving is the only thing that has kept me sane after two knee replacements. I miss jumping, I did 400 jumps in my first 2.5 years so I would like to think I am rather competent. I miss hanging with jumpers on the DZ more than anyone can know as you are all really truly honest and good people. I just want to see one more of you saved thats all, nothing more. Please accept my humble apologies. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  23. "I look forward to coming to this site to get away from the shit, and "dood" is just trying to start shit." I'm not trying to start shit. I'm trying to save lives. Read my original post. Bring your shit somewhere else, how long have you been in the sport there killer?? DOOD -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
  24. I'm upset that there is a chance of loss of life. Period. "When people refuse to follow rules" Again, AFREAKINGAIN, ONCE AGAIN - Although the Roger Nelson incident forum got off track, it got back on track, after a warning was given I might add. -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
