  1. LOL...almost every time I open after a FF jump...there's a canopy on my ass and it's one of my friends trying to kill me...lol...they get me before I can even unstow my toggles or stow my slider... Anyway...my .02 I try to hold in brakes to let the group before me land therefore having a less congested landing area. But it doesn't always work cause of the rate of descent. But I still try.
  2. Personally, I always bring a case of beer to the DZ every time I go. I think I'm caught up for the rest of my life. Always buy your beer!!!
  3. I got the same thing yesterday...but it's working now

    Cotton vs Taslan

dunno...call them and ask them....or ask for samples.
  5. I found that leaning back slightly helped me to stay stable while standing. And when you feel like you're gonna cork, bring your legs back up into a sit position to slow you down. That worked for me. Good luck!
  6. I found sit flying the easiest to learn. But everyone is different.
  7. You can...I just kept typing and BAM....there it was.
  8. Ditto! I love diving out of a cessna.
  9. Adi, why don't you just get a couple demos (135 & 120)and jump the chit out of em'. At 600 jumps, I'd like to think you could figure it out for yourself after you jump them. My .02
  10. The same thing happened to me during AFF. It didn't effect my canopies performance so I landed it. However, I do know others that chopped.
  11. Quote"The safer skydiving gear becomes, the more chances skydivers will take, in order to keep the fatality rate constant."Quote So true.
  12. Wow...I can attest to that too Thanks.

    lowest pulled

Everyone has got me thinking about the 'low pull' contest that took place at the DZ quite a few years ago....One guy pulled around 800' and the other was open at 300'....the best part was....the winner borrowed the DZO's gear for the jump... Spectacular!
  14. That's the best I've read yet. Same experience here, too. Actions speak louder than words.
  15. Maybe were just nutz..but here's another one I found funny. Awhile back at the Herd. There was a full otter load at altitude on jumprun. My friend (John Doe) flicked the two switches and turned off the engines. The pilot panicked and ordered everyone out the plane. End result...everything was fine and nobody was injured.

    100th Jump

    Yahoo!!!! BEER!!!!! You go girl
  17. That's exactly what I was getting at. As skydivers, we know not to walk into the prop. What's her deal? That's lame!
  18. Wasn't Julie Meyer's a skydiver at one time?
  19. each time I try to click on a link or view a profile or whatever...DZ.com freezes on me. Anyone else having this problem?
  20. I know but that's how most of my friends are. They only do it to eachother. Everyone has pretty much been on good behavior now for a while. But sometimes they get bored, as do I, and do stupid shit. However, I always give myself a full gear check before my jumps. It only takes a few seconds.
  21. I don't put the weights in my rig. I've tried it but decided to go with the belt for various reasons. My belt is velcro and is extremely easy to discard if needed. BTW, I didn't and wouldn't order my jav w/that option. I bought the rig used. edit: the BTW part
  22. Not too long ago my friend had spaghetti in his reserve...He's still gets a little pissy over it!...
  23. Just send it to Bud's Loft or PEC...it'll cost you $25-
