But as it does you could start with the development of good public transprtation and most importantly the acceptance of using it as a viable means of transport, the USA is heavily developed around the automobile. If high speed electric trains start hauling people to work and between cities faster and more comfortably than sitting in gridlock, or commuting to and from an airplane the mindsets would change quite rapidly. The apparent ability of the american people to live frivilous, unsustainable lyfestyles is also rubbing off on the rest of the world through the media. If you can live like that, we want to too! is the way it seeems to be going, in a couple of decades when China and India as well as many other developing countries see 'more' development, which will include televisions and internet, they too will want the cushy, easy yet unsustainable and wasteful lifestyle. You don't seem to realise (from your post) how much of an impact your country has on the world. Everyone wants it easy, but unfortunately we can't, someone or something has to pay the price. Our planet is alrady in ruins, how much more can it take before a cataclysm happens that will put us all back to square one. Don't think I believe my own country and many others is not the same in many ways but the USA is the top of the shop when it comes to this unfortunate problem. I disagree, the consumer dictates what the manufacturer supplies. For instance, in Australia and New Zealand, Mcdonalds (an american company) was losing profit and stores were (for the first time) closing down due to a decline in demand and a tendancy towards healthier food and swankier dinining experiences. What did they do? The created healthy options and Mccafe, I am not talking about the American McCafe that consists of a coffee with fake cream pumped into it and suger sprinkled on top, but a nice cafe with really well made food, like paninis, gateaux, espressos, short blacks(real coffee), free internet and the option of your chicken burger being seared or fried (in the mcdonalds resturaunt attached to the McCafe). I was so dissapointed when I came to the usa to get a nice cup of tea and a nice cake at McCafe like I do at home, to be given a polystyrene cup filled with luke warm water and a tea bag on the side still in its paper bag (Why do they do that?) and some non dairy creamer (if it's not dairy what is it? eeew!). Why is it 'still' like that in USA and not in Australasia? Because of customer demand, Americans still love thier double quarter pounder stacked with cheese and bacon and Australasians would rather have the option of a healthy meal and good coffee rather than that perculated burnt shit thats been sitting in on the element or in the flask for an hour or two! The same goes with your cars, you ask for a big ass gas guzzler, you get one. You ask for a really reliable, efficient, inexpensive car that goes faster, longer and better than the gas guzzler, and you know what, you'll probably get one! just stop buying the gas guzzler! The japanese 'had' to make more efficient cars as they don't have the same amount of room and atmoshphere (breating space) that America does, but there is nothing stopping america making small efficient cars. Coming from a country that has govornment healthcare, i know that private health insurace can compete and it can make healthy profits. What is it about privitisation that you lots seem so passionate about? private healthcare is about making profit out of healthy people and limiting the amount of sick people that have access. Govornment healthcare is about having a healthy population and in turn a healthy productive country. Of course there will be a proportion of business lost in the healthcare sector as those that wish to use govornment healthcare will not have to pay private companies anymore. When you fly your canopy, if you hold your toggles in front of you, you will potentially be rubbing your lower brake lines against the hooks of the velcro that are attached in the rear riser. And the velcro destroyng your lines? i don't think they would be more secure than the tru lock system, and domes/snaps are not as smooth to release as the tru lock system, they also are subject to matal fatigue and require maintenence. You failed to acknowledge the 2 very well presented documents that I put forward in this thread to contribute to my argument. I've not havd a brake fire with my true lock risers in honestly 3000 jumps, vector equpiment remains in great shape for it's long lifespan if it is well looked after. Get tru lock and you won't be dissapointed, you will also be assured your 3 rings and riser loops are manufactured correctly as they are made by the company that designed the 3 ring system. I was just reading the bible for something to do while sitting on my hotel room throne. I wanted to read the noahs ark part as it seemed interesting. This part got me thinking; So, if evolution does not exist, then is Noah officially the first human to discover new zealand? it seems this way as the maori are only believed to have been there for around 1000 years, we have many birds and other creatures that are secific to NZ so he must have passed through on his mission to collect all the creatures great and small.
