  1. Then why post? Might be for the same reason people post information in forums without knowing the facts. Estimated delivery date means estimated. It does not take that long to build your rig, it takes that long to build the rigs ordered before yours. Communications. Nuff said. J.E. James 4:8
  2. Ohhh Yeahhh, I'm going to do the same with these guys plus the local Better Business office. Community Sound and Audio in Springfield Missouri. Call me for a reference! James 4:8

  7. Love ya!!!! You would not believe all the bull that's going on with my PC9. Bent the carriage shooting a highschool foot ball gave for a friends son. Took it to a "Sony Authorized" repair station. It took three weeks to get it back due to "back order". When I picked it up all seemed well until I attempted to play a tape in it I had previously recorded..... pixel distortion. Took it back and told them there was an alignment problem with the new carriage. Picked it up a week later was told it was within specs. Still would not play back tapes recorded in the PC9 or any of the other three sony camera I have. Convinced the shop they had to fix the alignment. Two weeks ago they were supposed to have it ready but, "there are three blown fuses in the camera and we have to order them, be another week"!!!!! Had to buy the trv19 just to shoot my aff students. Giving it to my wife when the pc9 comes back,,,, if it ever does! I'm too old to be teased!!!!! Blues, J.E. James 4:8

  13. No Biggie!!! Who besides Bill on DZ.com is perfect!!!!!!! I had to pull a cat d saturday after a perfect exit, perfect turns, locked on at 6000 and stayed locked on right past the wave off and pull signals. Didn't wake up until his PC was flying away and then the look on his face said it all!!!! Repeat dive the exit was unstable but recovered real quick and completed the cat. Hang in there, dirt dive the heck out of them and visualize!!! Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  14. Now Now, The first post pictures are no big deal. They've been selling those in Arkansas for years!!!!! You are too sweet a lady to let these guys get you all fired up. Tell you what, I've got an old cross sight, one's I think Brent made years ago, plastic frame with cross sight. PM me an address and I'll try to find it and give it to you just to shut these guys up. 15. Dave, Anytime the airfoil is moving faster than the fuselage, you are in a helicopter or a crash. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  16. Well professor go figure....... Elliptical is not alwayw elliptical. We have leading edge slightly ellip, trailing edge slightly ellip, we have both slightly ellip. and we have ellipticals. Round, square, leading edge, trailing edge, or ellip. they all have different flying characteristics. Add seven cell and nine cell and you expand the options. Wing loading equals speed not performance. Performance is a perspective, not a function of the canopy. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  17. You have to consider what they are for. Skydiving helmets were/are basic protection from hitting the AC climbing out, and being hit by other skydivers feet etc. in RW (where most of todays helmets were developed prior to freeflyers). Our first camera helmets were motorcycle helmets with brackets and/or cutouts for mounting cameras. None other than the motorcycle helmets were design for impact. These days base may want an impact "resistant" helmet however, most others want maximum protection with minimum weight and minimum investment. If you are considering impact from a bad landing, (do not read "hook")what we have today will function to prevent cuts and scratches. If you are looking for something more then you must be considering a situation where there will be injuries to other parts of the body also. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  18. ATC requests (read that requires) pilots to provide> two minutes to exit skydivers away canopies open canopies on ground all with location in relation to the airport and altitude. I've asked our pilots to advise of the birdman flights to ATC with "estimated" reports and flight pattern area. Our DZ is very rural however, we constantly have flyovers and flythroughs by non-radio aircraft. Look down, look up, look around birdman. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  19. Well, back to 6.5 New PC should be ready in two weeks, waiting on the DVRaptorRT to load up premier pro. Thanks for you help..... Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  20. Thanks LT! I went to Bonehead's web first however, I had problems there. This box is one of the older ones with the foam top cover and clips. The dimensions should help though. Really appreciate it. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  21. My PC9 is down for another week. I need to pick up a replacement for this weekend that will fit into a Bonehead box on an optik. Anyone know if a Sony TRV22, TRV33, or TRV19 will fit? Got to buy one tomorrow. Thanks and PM if you can for a quick one. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
  22. Shaun, Take a breath! I'm surprised to hear this from you. Value is what we are talking about. Lead times always change with rig, canopy, jumpsuit manufacturers. It depends upon your "value" of the product. I for one "value" Sunpath Products a great deal. I've jumped Javelin for over 12 years and I will wait. If you want just a good rig, most will do just fine. It's Fords and Chevys. What you see as the best rig or best value is different from the next guy. 8 weeks, 18 weeks or 18 months, if it's what you want, it's worth it. Now, lets talk production and contracts. Yes I'm going to take the big contact if I'm a manufacturer if the profit margin is there and evaluate how many single rig orders I'm going to miss if I do and decide where the best return is. Thats called business. Too many people these days are in the "instant gratification" state and think it's wrong for a business to "make money". I If you don't like it, buy another rig or start your own company making your rig. You might have to change to a "business" attitude. Blues, J.E> James 4:8
  23. First it's the pilot's decision. Second, yes a negative "g" factor is possible. By "unloading" you from the gyro it can experience a negative factor however it is not sustained. James 4:8
