I'll ask you the same question. Would that be you? If you did not receive a call from me, why worry about it? Either start complaining, or learn from the exposure of anothers mistakes. This rigger is "new" in that the individual has only been a rigger for less than 2 years. What do you call new? This sounds like the NG. with all the whinners wanting to complain instead of trying to learn. Blues, J.E. James 4:8

Lawndart21, The post is intended to help warn and teach. New riggers and old. Simply take the time, check AD's, SB's, and AAD's. If you disagree with that, state your differences. If not, don't look for an argument from me. Blues, J.E. James 4:8

Mark, With you under an FX99 that's not a hole.................. It's called an "afterburner"!!!!!!!! Come on! Fix it! I'll send you some material and give you the name of a Master Rigger I know who lives real close to you. In fact he lives at the same address!!!!!!!!! Blues, J.E. P.S. Right with you, $30.00 plus location upcharge. James 4:8

Just received a Javelin for re-pack and discovered the following. Cypres nine months past four year. Cypres batteries two years past replacement date. SPSB0303200 Rev. B not addressed. You can figure out how many "reserve re-packs" it has been through. I contacted the last rigger who repacked the container and advised him of what I had found. Come on guys and gals, it may only take you nine days to get your riggers ticket now but it only takes you a few minutes to check things out properly. Blues, J.E. James 4:8

Skydiving is no different than bowling, tennis, rockclimbing, or anything else when it comes to relationships. It's just another commonality we lace through our lives. It's not the skydiving that keeps us together, connected, supporting, and loving each other. It's the relationships we develope through the contacts of skydiving. Bowlers, tennis stars, rockclimbers, and anyone else who shares a "special" moment with others will understand. Remember, skydiving may be a thing of the past for you however, your friends are not. We are still here. God Bless you, your choice, and your friends. Blues my Brother, J.E. James 4:8

Ron, Right there with you Brother! I buy insurance, not skill, when I purchase and use one of these items. As I've stated before, "experinece is something you gain 10 seconds after you needed it." Educate! Blues, J.E. James 4:8

Training vs. Turn-around times w/ tandems
sducoach replied to SkydiveMO's topic in Safety and Training
Agreed that anytime the aircraft shuts down, operations suffer. That simply means there are not enough jumpers there to support the aircraft at that time. As far as turbines go, they suffer cycle considerations, cool downs, etc. however, turbine or not, when they shut down, no one is making money. Worked at, flew, operated King Air's for several years so I understand "that". Here's to you if you use your tandem time for training! Most do not. Blues, J.E. James 4:8 -
Wendy, You have not responded to my other post however, there does not need to be a... ..........serious mistake made. Only an accident, medical situation, etc. I agree that people can become "accessory dependent" but do not generalize us cypress, helmet, audible using skydivers as "dependent". Please. Blues, J.E. Helmets vs Cypres (was: Mid Air 3/20/04)
sducoach replied to stateofnature's topic in Safety and Training
No helmet is designed to save you. Skydiving or not. They are designed to absorb the impact forces, distribute and dissipate them through their own destruction. Basic physics. Blues, J.E. James 4:8 -
Helmets vs Cypres (was: Mid Air 3/20/04)
sducoach replied to stateofnature's topic in Safety and Training
Wendy, Please explain this statement for us "slow" people. Is this like if you anti-drugs you aren't anti-drug by and large? You know that for a fact that he was "saving himself" before the cypres fired? You observed his pull and the cypres fire? Why are you "what if'ing" this? Who is attempting to "vindicate" a cypres? Seems you are the one with issues concerning safety equipment, cypres, helmets, etc. Please simply state your position and get off the soap box. Educate people. Don't just attempt to anger them or change their minds to your position without facts. You used to be an instructor did you not? Teach! Blues, J.E. James 4:8 -
Wendy, What is your issue with using a cypres? You have a couple posts out right now discussing this topic. How about stating your position and then getting off the issue. Educate. Blues, J.E. James 4:8

What Skybytch said and...... make sure you take your advise from a rigger. There are many "experts" on rigging on the .com who offer free "advise". Blues, J.E. James 4:8

Training vs. Turn-around times w/ tandems
sducoach replied to SkydiveMO's topic in Safety and Training
Andrewwhyte, Sorry but it is true. As Chris indicated and Gary reflected it's called training. If you are not training your tandem students then that "defines" the "tandem mill" operation. It depends upon the DZO and the priority of safety, training, or simply cash flow. Blues, J.E. James 4:8 -

Don't grip the door on exit if you enjoy using your hand
sducoach replied to bch7773's topic in Safety and Training
The point is not to place blame. The point is to learn where NOT to put your hands. Please guys, do not "over evaluate" the post. Just tell Brian you'll give him "the finger" anytime. Blues, J.E. James 4:8
