  1. Yeah, and I should have added an option... "Yes, I piss in the shower when visiting at friend's houses... even if I'm not showering, just have to piss..."
  2. Good point... I should have added that one...
  3. hmmmm... I'm thinkin' I need to decide whether or not to go buy a new container sooner then later and put it on a shelf before mfgr's start coming out with all kinds of sh*t like this "for our own good" with all sorts of "rules", I'm sure... but, that as they say, is a different story. Thanks for the 411 Jerry.
  4. Anytime baby! ... but never with company.
  5. ... and that was to let you know I noticed the deletion of at least one of DPs posts bashing lawyers and the deletion of my reply to him cautioning him to not necessarily lump the families these lawyers are representing in with them. Good point, but I still pose the question to all why they think there's a point in whipping this dead horse-thread?
  6. Screw global warming! We'll grow oranges in Alaska!!
  7. *confused* Are they all skyhook-READY or all have a Skyhook installed? i.e. can you still get a Jav sans skyhook? I'm suspicious that the next thing Sunpath will say is you have to jump one of their rigs with a skyhook... kinda like this whole RSL goat roap with their gear.
  8. Seems reasonable for divrdave to have posted his OP, but what's the point of this discussion at this point? Most of us do not have a law degree and the moderators are editing this thread heavily.
  9. ... she needs to get the fishing lure removed from her eye brow.
  10. So, your local rigger helped you with a screw on your bed.
  11. I'm basically to the point where I'm probably never going to try to get on an airliner with my rig, neither as a carry on nor as checked luggage for the chance my gear would be F'ed with by the TSA. Generally speaking, they're just to frikin' stupid and cannot be reasoned with... sure, you may get through 100 times without being noticed... and you may be able to explain things to some of them if questioned, but if you get one that's "not the sharpest tool in the shed", you're just plain screwed.
  12. If you take that statement literally, then we should be using Turbo-Fan or Turbo-Jet (Straight Jet) powered aircraft for jump ops and not Turbo-Prop powered aircraft... irregardless of the fact that all 3 classes are air cooled... I won't even bring up propeller driven aircraft equipped with air cooled reciprocating engines; radial, horizontally opposed or otherwise. So, how many Turbo-Fan or Turbo-Jet powered aircraft out there are being used for jump ops? Perris' DC-9. Anyone, please point out others, but that's all that comes to my mind. Unfortunately, none of this (re: the original post) should surprise any of us that have been around the block a few times. Nor cause us to question whether he's for real or not. Face it, if any of us got called for jury duty on this case, besides the fact that we've read and talked a lot about this on DZ.com, we'd probably get tossed because we're skydivers. Some of us would probably get "double" tossed because we're skydivers AND know more then a bit about aviation because we're also Pilots, or Aerospace Engineers, or work in the aviation industry or combinations there of. I doubt the lawyer "Mr. Robb" would want any of us on the jury. Who knows how this will go down. It will probably be a year or two still (my wild ass guess) before we can look back in hind-sight and say how it all worked out, but unfortunately, it will probably involve Pratt or some of the other "big pocket" types settling out of court for this to just go away for them and/or responsibility (right or wrong) being pushed off on the (dead) pilot. That's unfortunate, but unfortunately, that's the world we live in today. There used to be a time when "legal" meant LAW. Now it just means some sort of loop-hole or extenuating circumstance or what-not that makes no sense what so ever to an "everyday man's" logic, but works in court.
  13. If you were from a southern state you'd have done her already If they were from a southern state, he'd have been related to her before his brother married her too!
  14. Um, most reserve pack-jobs are pro packed. Now dressing the nose and tail on a reserve pack-job and going in the freebag, thats waaaaaay different.
  15. I voted "Other"... ... as in the place I did my first jump was the place my skydiving friends I meet through work took me, then Whuffo, to see if I'd really "put my money where my mouth was" when I said, "You guys are Skydivers??! That's cool!! I wanna do that!"
  16. Jan, Any thougths of making it "share ware"... i.e. FREE. Maybe a free version that only does 2 to 20-ways? Another question... looks like you have all the 4-Way Randoms, but only the 4-Way Blocks that are currently in the Dive Pool. Any thought of posting all the possible 4-Way Blocks?
  17. get yourself some liquid courage, and do an electric 2-way instead. Unlike RW, the less people you have the more interesting it gets. I thought "Electric" what-ever-ways involved acid or LSD, not just plain ol' "liquid courage"? -------------------------- It's not exactly old footage, but it is retro. Clicky (YouTube). Is that You Tube footage of Air Moves at Perris? Sorry, I can't open it, I ain't got the bandwidth... If so, then it would be circa late 80s or 1990-91?... right?? Anyway, I agree, not that old, really, but seeing as how a lot of the folks here were not much past still crapin' in their pants then... kinda old to them...
  18. Had no life... started skydiving... still have no life, but own 3 rigs, a bunch of jumpsuits, 3 altimeters, 2 gear bags, have a stack of log-books filled out, drive to the DZ most every weekend, have no whuffo friends, etc.
  19. I wonder if Martina was flying it? She used to fly jumpers at Cal City for Bob & Judy and then graduated to become an airship pilot... traded one form of gas in the aircraft for another... http://www.goodyearblimp.com/fleet/spirit_america.html
  20. I'm not "people from California"... or "The People's Republic of Kalifornia", as I call it... I'm just a person living in California because this is where the work is... . I grew-up in Reading, PA and went to school in State College, PA... Yes PENN STATE!
