Cessna 182 (1956) N5748B. Owned by Steve Smith and Don Ridenour. I don't have my log book but that is a very similar tail number to a 182 I used to fly. Anyone else recognize it? It showed up in the FAA daily intake for accidents. As far as tail numbers go you don't have to unique. Just different. It's painted right on the side like a license plate. Roger chose 220EA because (obviously) 20EA was already taken. I forget what the Bell 222 has for a tail number but I thought it had an "EA" ending. For those wondering it's "Eagle Air". Not "Eastern Airlines". Guys... RVSM airspace STARTS at Flight Level 290. Soo.. you need certification to go above Flight Level 280 (28,000 feet pressure altitude with a standard altimeter setting of 29.92"Hg). Don't go thinking that turning off your Mode C altitude encoding and just "pop" up to exit. Are you up on your intercept procedures? Might want to have a listening watch on 121.50 MHz just in case.
