[Cliff Claven] Ah yes. The ALFF. I know it well. And you might be surprised by this but it's a little known fact that the ALFF was a spin off from the velcro invention.[/cliff claven]

Yah, but what they don't tell you is that if you stray too close to Disneyland the [quotation fingers] Laser show [/QF] will open fire on any offending aircraft. Chris

Bill, remember free speach? It's one article. One point of view. Calm down. I doubt very much they are going to return the statue of liberty. Shhheeeshh. Man, talk about pressing your buttons.
-
Only if you don't underemphasize me. Or misunderestimate me. Or whatever.
-
The statue of liberty represents justice. Represents the struggle to make a better country. It says that we stand up for what is right. We do not sit on the side lines. Yet, that is what France would have us continue to do. Sit, do nothing, for another 12 years. Enough is enough. It is time for action. Saddam must go.

Ummmm.......how about just not reading the war threads? For the most part, that's what I do.

You can put whatever you can get approval for. Got the money? I bet you can put jet engines on an Otter. Just takes money. Most powerful (meaning max power to highest altitude) is the PT-34 engine. They aren't "stronger" than a -27 engine. They just can hold that max torque to a higher altitude. But as we've seen, a well tuned -27 can beat many other -34s to altitude. Yep, 4 Casas for sale. Only 434CA is not listed for sale here. That would be one Casa left. Looking at the Otters now. Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125

I got this during my ATP and type rating training in the simulator. I didn't know what was happening really since I was trying so hard to do good and doing not so good. I had a headache for a week and a half and was dizzy from one sim session to the next. I didn't take any medication since I didn't want to depend on anything during training. But I gave up and took 2 tylenol for my headache. I immediately regained my balance and my headache went away. I rocked on my final sessions and my checkride. Thank gawd I gave in and took the tylenol. Now, when I go for my 6 month checkride I take 2 tylenol a couple hours before the session and have not had a problem with the sim in 2 years.

Everyone gets "motion sickness" once in awhile. It happens. Anyone who gets motion sick a lot does not become a pilot. I don't believe that the motion sickness pills are approved for use by pilots while at the controls. I could be wrong about that. But...... Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125

USPA Proxy poll (Jan Meyer USPA BOD member poll)
diverdriver replied to PhreeZone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Vote bump. -
I would say that it does matter in both situations. Let's just say a jumper was a solo hop-n-pop and they were high. No problem? What if that jumper hooked himself into a pond in front of the whole USPA BOD? There might be some repercussions. Stopping someone from taking AN ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE or an intoxicant before jumping might impact my enjoyment of the DZ I frequent. As in, I get to enjoy a stress free environment instead of trying to defend the vast majority of rule abiding jumpers there. I have banned jumpers from my aircraft after drinking and trying to jump. I can't catch them all but when I know about it I'll do something. Chris

Well, on a buisy ramp there can be a lot of engine noise so you might mentally block it out if you've been around it a lot. Like skydivers....... Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125

Well.......not a rumor. According to the North Carolina Bankruptcy courts. The reason I post this is because I am concerned for jumpers' safety in jump planes. An operation that can't pay its' bills might have trouble paying for maintenance on its' planes. That is all. Be an informed consumer. Search HERE. Also, click on "Creditors". At night the prop can be "almost" invisible. What usually happens is that a person is fooled into thinking the prop is not turning because of the strobe light (anti-collision light) blinks and the prop seems to be sitting still for a split second. This would not be the first time that someone has just forgotten that the rushing air in their face was from a TURNING PROPELLOR! Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125

Hence why this is in Talk Back and this thread can just die now.
