You are comparing apples and oranges here. Two drunken dumb-asses on a plane, they are called on it. They CONTINUE to be drunken dumb-asses while the SOBER FA's are trying to do their job. Hence: Interfering with a flight crew. This isn't a bar on Main Street, this is an airliner in-flight with numerous other people on board who are not acting like dumb-asses. If this was Main Street USA then yes Disorderly Conduct and Alcohol Intoxication. Again I see no mention of the Patriot Act, this type of activity was illegal long before this occurred. I prefer Bates, I wear nylon topped ones in the summer and cordura topped ones in winter. Both are steel toe (USAF issue from my "other" job) I spend alot of time walking and they hold up well and are comfortable, plus for me they are free. FYI P.S. Just read the no steel toe statement. Bates and Rocky are still my choices "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Believe me, when the Lawyers keep calling eventually (most of the time) they will get a family member to cave in. These ambulance chasers are unethical and only want money, the whole make the world safer bit is a crock of shit. Haranging family members immediately after a traumatic event is a moral grey area. I don' know if this is the case here, but in many cases it is. Don't get me wrong, there are good ethical lawyers out there, but it's been my experience that personal injury ones mostly are not. Early in the morning, late at night. My point is it scared the shit out of everybody, if I'd have been there (as a tourist) I would have kicked the shit out of him until the cops got there just because of the circumstances I described earlier. The british police shot a guy for a lot less, thinking he was a terrorist. I agree when the hazard is very minimal charging a BASE jumper with "inducing panic or disorderly conduct" is messed up. In this case he did cause a huge panic and he was dealt with. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

No way, got to be GWB Where are all the BASE peeps on here? The ones who defend other BASE jumpers no matter how stupid their stunt was. Has anybody checked out the new interview of Jeb Corliss with Geraldo? I hadn't heard about this until I saw it on skydingmovies.com. It looked like a cool stunt if he could pull it off. He didn't and he got busted, rather than taking his medicine, he just pisses and moans. I have to ......(gulp............clears throat.......) agree with Geraldo on this one. NYC in the middle of the afternoon, the Empire State Building, the crowded observation deck in disguise with a large pack on his back. I'm surprised some whuffo didn't do something worse than just grab him. Don't let my name fool ya, most times I agree with BASE jumpers who get busted, I've actually run a little interference for some local ones. They usually pick the RIGHT time and place, this one is just wrong on all levels. Any thoughts? Posted in SC because of obvious political and historical overtones. Most adults can cover 21 feet in less time than an officer can unholster and fire his sidearm. Hence you are stabbed or struck before you can fire your weapon. Most armed encounters for LEO's are in low light conditions, within 3 feet, within 3 seconds. If this bill is true, it's fucking stupid. Beyond all the posturing on here, I live this shit every day. When I was a kid I looked up to Duke Cunningham. As a Law Enforcement Officer I looked up to him as the co-sponsor for the federal right to carry for LEO's. This cut the red tape from state to state in reference to carrying concealed in other states for all LEO's. Turns out he was a turd............... I guess it goes back to temptation, it can cross all lines. I kinda feel sorry for the man I guess, he lost 100lbs in a few months and atoned for his misdeeds. He truely WAS a hero and let greed overcome all else. I'm tired and grumpy because I worked all night, and I guess I'm just really disappointed. Good night (morning for most)..............
