    I think this is due to some other changes we've made. Found a template that was not being cached. This will certainly improve the performance as well (and is how we found it), but it can also quite possibly be the culprit that caused the blank page loads. The proxy errors happens when the server is overloaded. That's usually a symptom of all these other things that we're trying to fix.

    I shut them off for a while. I'm looking into why the performance of the site has degraded over the last few weeks. (should be much faster again now) I suspect the little checkmarks, amongst other things, were killing the server. There's a lot of work that that needs to be done by the server just to generate one checkmark. Every time a page is viewed the script hads to run though every post, on every thread in on that page to check for your name. Some threads have thousands of posts to them. Can you imagine how often people flip back to the forum view page.... every time that happens this whole process has to repeat itself. Not very optimal and very little value add. Safe swoops Sangiro

    Thanks... but I also need a map of every state. This one is not particularly nice... Hehehehe! I think you pulled this from http://www.netstate.com/. YUou can get state maps there as well. I've looked there before. Would like something a bit "better looking" than those. Here's a map of Florida that I think is good to use. Now, just find me a site that has all the states in this quality - that I'm allowed to use. This could work. Keep them coming...

    Heya all, I have to be in Washington DC from the 24th - 27th. Also need to be in Boston on the 8th of June so I'm considering staying somewhere on that side of the US between the two events. Thinking of spending some time in Florida over Memorial Day weekend and maybe the week after. Anything going on worth visiting then? Nothing finalized yet...

    Quick comment on this... If the little check-marks become a new driver to "post whore" I will remove that functionality. I'm always amazed how some can people find ways to abuse something and in the end spoil it for everyone who use the way it was intended. Let's try to avoid that. Safe swoops Sangiro
