Heya all, I've created a forum for the 2005-2006 USPA BOD Elections Forum. This is a temporary forum which will be locked and archived once the elections are over. The purpose of this forum is to provide an equal platform for all candidates to declare their positions and answer questions from USPA members. I hope this will provide and opportunity for people to make a more informed decision about who to vote for. Although elections are inherently political and almost always confrontational in nature I remind everyone that the forum rules apply to this forum like anywhere else on Dropzone.com. Please keep it civil and constructive.

Heya, It's been a while since I've said this so here's a reminder. I'll quote some things verbatim from a post that's more than 2 years old just to make sure you understand that this has always been my position. The idea of the Dropzone.com Forums is to create an inviting environment where everyone, newbies and whuffos included will feel welcome to post their questions without the risk of personal attack or insult. For everyone else who wants a different vibe, there's always rec.skydiving. I've been running this site for a few years now and have long accepted that it’s impossible to please everyone. In fact, trying to please everyone is a sign of mediocrity and you only end up pissing off the good folks. So, accepting the fact that some people will not like what I do and probably leave, I've had to make choices about who I'd like to keep around. I opted for the people who appreciate and respects the character of the community that we're trying to create. To that extend, I will not tolerate a club or clique who's sole purpose it is to be maliciously hurtful to another member. I really don't care how much you may dislike an individual's opinions or the way her or she expresses them. If you deliberately work at making someone feel unwelcome I will return the favor. So Shut-Up Brothers, you can either lose the attitude, and the signature lines or loose your access to Dropzone.com. You pick. There are plenty of ways to have fun on this site. This isn't one of them.

Opinions vary... Seeing as you have absolutely no idea what my intention was with that post and are guessing at best, let me clear it up for you. It was a joke. Relax. Nobody is fighting with you. In assuming that, you are not only just plain wrong, you are also doing a disservice to yourself and me. Play on!

Do what AggieDave said. Clear out your cookies, or log out properly (actually click on log out, don't just close the browser window) and log back in again. Also, without your username, it's impossible to tell if there's anything wrong on the back-end. What's your username? Safe swoops Sangiro

Heya all, Fields in the profile that asks for numbers only will in future accept numbers only. Entries like "not enough" in the jump numbers really doesn't help much. If you have characters other than numbers in these fields you will be required to change that when you update your profile next time. You can leave it blank or tell it as it is. Well, you start by reading the FAQs at the top of the page. If you want to take a short-cut you go to Markup Help which is linked from every page where you type your posts. Then there's always those little buttons.... Of course, a quick search would have.... anyways... Safe swoops Sangiro

A sad state indeed. Like some people here. Skratch, Thanks for the feedback. Yup - I'm updating the nav bar and the layout of all the sections on the site. Those that I've gotten to have the new nav bar, the other still have the old one. They'll be inconsistent for a while till I catch up.

That really does nothing. In fact if you're thinking about saving resources, then that solution is worse. If you're not going to use it, just leave it. You probably don't get more spam here than at Hotmail or other free mail providers, they simply don't allow it though to you. They block most of it away befor it gets to you. I chose to let users choose. I'm reconsidering. In the future I may very well just block it before it gets to you. Safe swoops Sangiro
