Nope - no big changes here. Most of this stuff is gone again!

The deceased was a jumper with 110 jumps and 4 years in the sport. It was his 2nd jump of the year, the first having been earlier the same day. He went out last according to the loadmaster, as he was planning a to do a solo belly dive and to open high (4.

I hold Mike McGowan responsible for taking those "boring photos of folks in jumpsuits against a background of blue." More of his utterly boring work can be seen here. Safe swoops Sangiro

It depends on how much sleep I get.... I'll go read though the current reviews now and validate them.... Edit: Ok - something wrong here. Reviews are not being accepted. I'll look into it today. Safe swoops Sangiro

A jumper died during a 4th of July demo jump when he struck a telephone pole during landing. According to eye-witnesses his parachute also became entangled with some of the wires which he pulled down with him. No further information is available at this

Pass it on to me if you like. I'd like to check this out a bit.

Sorry for doing that without notice. Needed to be done to upgrade the search server. Re-indexing all 1,000,000 posts takes about an hour, which is actually pretty impressive, but that's besides the point. That's the hour it was down for. Normally try to do these upgrades off-peak but this had to be done.

I think your question was absolutely fair. Had no issues with it.

Andy, You're splitting hairs. Go read the rules. Moderators have a discretion to delete or move posts as they see fit. I think John gave you a perfectly good explanation. Posts like this serve no purpose. Don't put us though the motions for every action we do on here especially if you haven't even made the effort to really look at the rule. It gets annoying after a while. Safe swoops Sangiro

I also noticed the rider actually found an alternative means of transport that can go faster than the bike... Safe swoops Sangiro

I think we're done here. Time to let this incident and this thread move on. Safe swoops Sangiro

The key wordd here is index. It's the same issue, just a different message. It's the search server. Should be resolved for now. It was down and I restarted it. Let me know if you still get it. Still have to figure out why it was down in the first place. The error that has people locked out is the search server as well when the load gets to high, but before it shuts down... Please look at other posts in this forum before you start a new thread. Thanks.

Pretty sure it's the new search engine. I'm looking into it. Safe swoops Sangiro

Heya all, Due to the volume of ads being posted I've changed the color age (new) flags in the Classified Ad section. This should keep them more meaningful and make it easier to track new ads. Used to be: New = Today New = Last 3 days New = This week New flags: New = Today New = Yesterday New = 2 Days Ago Safe swoops Sangiro

Heya all, We've taken a look into this. At the time this was happening due to a flood of email coming into the system. It all appeared to be junk spam, so the outgoing mail queue backed up with undeliverables, so all outgoing mail was taking a long time to deliver. Here's what we've done. We've set up a "white-list" of all Dropzone.com emails. This means, the server will automatically reject any email coming to us that is not addresses to a person with an account on Dropzone.com. Hopefully this will prevent this kind of block where we have to send a load of "message can not be delivered" notices out because of spam trying to get in to users who don't exist. Hope this helps.

Kevin, I've looked into this and it's quite a lot of work to make happen. Getting the script to (for example) take someone out of the middle of a thread without loosing everyone who replied to him/her is a tough one. At this time I don't think the effort justifies the return. But I'm constantly looking at additional features and this one has been though of and will certainly come back around again. PS - there was actually a plugin a while ago that allowed this. Problem is it is not supported anymore so I'm concerned about installing it just to find it to be incompatible with the next release of the core code... I'm not keen on taking functionality away. Feels like a step back. Safe swoops Sangiro

Kelly, Yes - this can be done and it is a good idea. It will take some time from me to implement though. I'll add this one to my to-do list. Thanks for the feedback. Safe swoops Sangiro
