The jumper was one of six people who had jumped from 4,000 ft. (Hop 'n Pop). Eye witness reports suggested he performed a 270 degree hook-turn and impacted the ground before completing the turn. He was taken to hospital an placed put on a life support m

Weather was gusty, average wind being 12kts and peaks around 20kts. Wind at 330ft was blowing pretty hard, 30-40kts. Jumper performed radical and aggressive toggle turns with his canopy and these possibly lead to line twists or into another spinning malfu

Well, here's a little navigational trick for those of you who don't really want to see all those annoying skydiving forums! Safe swoops Sangiro

Yup - that's the oldest post I can find for you as well. Upon further investigation - this is actually some left-overs from your initial registration issues. Anyway, I found a nifty little online tool that can convert Sep 25, 2002, 5:33 PM to a UNIX timestamp and I've updated you in the database.

Ah, also a skydiving sub-set. Useful. Thanks.

Heya all, Doing a little research. I know what the general internet trends are but would be interested to get a snap-shot of Dropzone.com users. What screen resolution is the monitor that you most frequently visit this site from set to? Safe swoops Sangiro

Skratch, Wow - I see that it happened I just have no idea how! My guess is you were entering information and saving at the same time as I was making changes in the database, and we got you caught in a little time-warp. I'll see if I can find your original registered date and fix that for you. Safe swoops Sangiro

At an average of 11 posts per day, how exactly to you plan to hide from a stalker? Safe swoops Sangiro

Couple of thoughts: This information has always been available on your profile - there's nothing new here. As for having the ability to be "invisible", that only means you will not show up in the "who's online" screen. It is certainly not my role, nor do I plan to provide the functionality to enable you to "hide" on Dropzone.com. The functionality didn't have to exist in the first place. Making a post - like the one you just did - surfaces you from hiding and provides any potential stalker with a LOT more information than just your last login (which he/she can derive from the post time as well). Unless you plan to never post anything and keep quiet, I don't understand your logic all that well. So, if you don't want to be seen, don't post either. And if you don't want to post and you have such a ferocious stalker, simply don't log in and browse as a guest. There's value in knowing whether a poster just made a post or whether he made it a week ago and has never been back since. Safe swoops Sangiro

That place is called "Speakers Corner" (sound familiar?) in Hyde Park.... Safe swoops Sangiro

Nope - it's still there. I've just set the requirements a bit higher... and guess we've seen less post whoring (as we should) in recent days.

Heay all, Starting today you will see a mini profile being displayed above each user's avatar in the forums. This information is pulled from your User Profile. I will start with a few fields only and evolve this over time. Please update your profile and revisit it when your information changes. Unless you're famous and we're all aware of your jumping achievements, this can start cement your credibility on these forums. If you expect people to take you seriously when you give skydiving advice or make comments, then provide serious and accurate information in your profile. The choice is yours though. Also, there's a new field in your profile called "Years in Sport". Check in and update that as it will likely be included in your mini profile soon. The purpose of the mini profiles is not to push forward all the information we know about a users. I know different people will be interested in different pieces of information I'm going to try and keep it generic and broadly useful. For more detail about the user check their full profile. NOTE: Users can obviously provide bogus information in their profiles. On these forums, as in life, please use common sense as to who you take advice from. I do however hope that providing this information up front will enable readers to contrast a users comments about skydiving with the level of experience they claim to have. If you have input or feedback on this, there's a couple of ongoing conversation in the Suggestions and Feedback forum on the topic. Safe swoops Sangiro

Umm... Yes it will, so will the moderators, and so will any other person who received a title from me that was not linked to post numbers. Taking this a bit too seriously I think. Safe swoops Sangiro

Does anyone see this on other sites as well? Safe swoops Sangiro

Looking into it.... Safe swoops Sangiro

Will likely show a "member since" date. No more colors or titles. Safe swoops Sangiro
