    Everyone seems to use Bill Booth as an example. It's a poor example. Bill Booth and the likes of him is not the issue. Everyone knows him so a system like this would do very little for how people read his posts. The problem is the 25,000 "unknown" users on the forum. I don't necessarily want a "judging" system, but the issue of authenticating user input and confirming credibility on the internet is worth discussing. Safe swoops Sangiro

    Conceptually I like that kind of thinking. I'd have to think about how that would be feasible (in terms of managing it) with more than 800 new people joining every month. Sounds like a maintenance nightmare.... Safe swoops Sangiro

    A quick note to the person who sent this email: (yes, I know who you are) When you patter around Dropzone.com doing searches on a username and related terms to collect data (like post numbers etc), and especially if you do so on the same day you sent the email to his employer, then it's really easy to see your little mud-steps all over the internet and log files.     What username were you trying to register? Do you use an email service (like Earthlink) with spam filters where you need to add an email to your "trusted" list. If so, check your spam email folder. Safe swoops Sangiro

    Heya all, I often get requests from people to delete all their posts to date, or something similar. Just wanted to make sure people understand that I won't do this. This is a public forum and if you don't want something out there in the future, then don't post it in the first place! I do not have the time nor the intention to clean up behind people. Post under the assumption that your boss, future boss, girlfriend, wife, ex, mother, children and the government can access these forums. Think before you hit Post.
