Mail Users - Delete spam messages scoring 5?
sangiro replied to sangiro's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
All messages that score above 5 gets marked as SPAM, whether you have a filter set or not. If you're not seeing any then I suspect your filter is working... Those that you are still seeing are the spam messages scoring under 5! Forward me one of your SPAM messages (mark it clearly) and I'll take alook at it... Safe swoops Sangiro -
Remember Raff - Memories, Condolences and Images
sangiro replied to sangiro's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
Heya all, I know a lot of people have already written their memories and condolences in the forums. I know there's a lot more out there. I've set up space where you can leave your condolences, stories and memories of Paul. In the meantime, feel free to go to the URL below and post your thoughts. I'm sure the family will appreciate it. Remember Raff To post photos of Paul, please create a directory in your Personal Galleries and upload the images to that. Send me a PM when you've done that and I'll copy all the photos into a single directory. Take some time to add some comments an context to your photos. Heya all, I often get emails from people who have sized their avatar images to the right dimensions but the file is still larger than the 10KB limit. Here's a link to a little online optimizer that you can use to get your image to the right size. Got though the steps, then right-click and save-as on the largest possible (best quality) image that comes in under 10KB.

Forgot to turn this off after an upgrade. It's unfortunately a bandwidth hog. Inline images forces the server to serve the images to all 25,000 people who merely open a thread, even if they didn't intend to look at any attachments. ...that's not even mentioning the abuse potential. Apologies for the tease.

Mail Users - Delete spam messages scoring 5?
sangiro replied to sangiro's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
If you use the Dropzone.com Mail application, then this poll is for you. if not, please just give it a skip. I'm still looking for ways to fight spam more effectively. As you know SpamAssassin assigns a "spam value" to each message. If the value is over 5 it marks the message with ***** SPAM ***** in the subject line. You can then use this to filter likely spam to a special folder. I'm considering deleting everything that scores a 5 from the server and never passing it on to you. This will allow you to filter on something more granular (for examle those messages that score only 3) but it also has the potential of catching a few legitimate emails. In most cases a legitimate email will VERY seldom score 5. It may however happen when you for subscribe to a mailing list which sends out its newsletters as rich HTML files. SpamAsssassin will likely mark something with a lot of HTMl and images as spam. So what are your thoughts? Safe swoops Sangiro -
Yup - she is a wild killer hunting dog! You should turn her loose to prey on some of those Lamas the DZO's wife keeps. Safe swoops Sangiro

Kim, thanks for the updates. Paul, his family and friends are in my thoughts. Safe swoops Sangiro

You should try Bob's Doughnuts on Polk street in San Francisco. It's a hole in the wall but every morning before the wild #19 bus leaves, the doughnuts are fresh and in my opinion the best in the world!

PhreeZone is my classifieds moderator. He looks at ads "after the fact" though. They get posted out live and he then has access to an editor interface that allows him to move and delete ads ex post facto. I'll give you access to that interface as well if you want to jump in and lend a hand from time to time. This should give you a good idea of the number of new ads per day: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/page.cgi?g=New%2F&d=1 Safe swoops Sangiro

No it doesn't. It defaults to the center on most browsers. Time for you to brush up on those skills! Safe swoops Sangiro

What annoys me about your post is the fact that you seem to think the solution to your problem is to accuse the moderators. If you want me to help you... or even pay remote attention to your gripe... don't start off this way. I'm slowly loosing my patience with people going after the moderators every time they have an itch. Safe swoops Sangiro

Whahoo! Somebody wrote me some code!!? Hehehehe! After an extensive code review I'd suggest you add an "align" attribute as well. Seriously, I'll take a look into this. I know it's been AD's mission fort a while to get me to do this. Safe swoops Sangiro
