    what's the tough part? its based on the true story of a japanese woman who was taken to indonesia to be a 'comfort woman' for the japanese troops.     I agree wholeheartedly with the advice to do canopy classes. But to respond to your question 'tunnel or jumping'.... If you are staying current in your skydives and have the cash for a slot in the tunnel, then I recommend tunnel coaching as a great way to build your confidence in the air. You will still have to work on exits in the air, a bad exit can ruin the rest of the skydive. But to get a good feeling for controling your body in 125mph winds, the tunnel with its longer time to repeat over and over the move you are training, plus the walls to give you reference to how stable you are.....is a wonderful tool. For example, some of the recent practice we have done in the tunnel involves our coach (Sally) pushing or pulling on a grip, or producing a burble to induce instabilities. Using the walls as reference we can see how well we maintain our postion. This is good practice for RW when others' actions often need to be compensated for. marc

    TOFU! Soy sauce, green onions, miso (don't use the dry flavorings in the ramen package....) Hey TK your recipe sounds pretty tasty! what is choy sum and hat sauce??? One sat nite at the dz, alysse and I will have to make a huge pot of japanese style soba noodles with all the goodies...

    Buddha was asked about the existance of God. His teachings were always about ways to live life in harmony, and peaceful understanding of self, others, surroundings. So he never talked about 'God'. His questioner insisted on an answer. Buddha replied: "If you were wounded by an arrow, would you first ask 'where did that come from', 'who shot that arrow'?? No, the first thing you would do is pull out the arrow and treat the wounds." Lots of ways to interpret this story from the sutras, but I think he was trying to say that spending our energy on living a good life would be more beneficial than pondering esoteric mystical metaphysical questions....     sarasota wasn't too bad, just lots of rain and breeze. Our neighborhood lost power at 2pm yesterday, still not back up, so I am at Jaimes Saine's place putting our frozen goods into his freezer.... Well, that was some 3 day weekend!     I am slowly but steadily reaching that zen master '360 awareness' that I could not approach while sitting on my ass in meditation! Building awareness of your actions and surroundings among others at 120mph, all compacted into 60 secs of freefall has helped me alot.
