I've made several jumps with Dan! He is truly inspirational. I thought he was impressive while jumping blind. The thing that impressed me the most is how he packs his own rig !

I have loved your name for how long now??? 3 years? ever since I ordered what was it Goggles? T-shirt? hmmmmmm...damn dementia! Will you marry me???? Or better yet....lets just have great monkey sex and call it even....?
-
you will supply the training??? I don't need training. I was in the Sexual Olympics in 2004! I placed Gold in the 9hour freestyle intercourse division. BY the way.... I prefer you don't call it Killing the KItty. I prefer you calling it "flicking the minnow".

what is wrong with a tiny white one???!!!!??? Just curious.... I don't have one that small....i'm asking for a "friend" of mine.... I STILL love your name !

I just moved to Alaska 1 year ago for the adventure...Without a doubt, I would do it again! This is paradise up here. People bad mouth the winters up here. Our winter was by far a lot better than places in the lower 48. Right now, its getting dark at midnight, and light at 4am. Can't beat that. This is an outdoor paradise. Camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, skydiving, flying, snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, etc....etc....etc.... If you are not an outdoors person, don't come. Elmendorf or Fort Rich? I can't begin to tell you how many people i meet up here that tell me they retired out of the military just to stay here....many have extended while in the military just to stay an extra tour. I haven't talked to anybody in the military who doesn't not like it up here. With the exception of Clay.... but remember....in order for him to catch a sheep, he has to climb pretty high. Those Dall Sheep are elusive bastards.... Come up and visit for a week. Here is my invitation. Catch a cheap Mac flight or something... Blue SKies, and Semper Fi's, John

must have been a typo....I meant 2000 feet ! ! !

Anybody have any word yet on how well the new Samsung camcorder has performed for skydiving? I'm really wanting to buy one, but I don't want to make the mistake of buying something that really sucks. Video quality? battery life? resolution? user-friendly? etc.... I'd appreciate any input.. Blue skies, John

There are thousands and thousands of glaciers in Alaska. There are several within a 10 or 15 minute plane ride from the DZ. No road trip necessary. The glacier we jump at is Colony Glacier on the other side of Knik Glacier. Its only a 20 minute hop. And you would never believe the scenery on the way to the glacier jump ! The pilot flies his Cessna wings about 20 feet from the peaks of mountaintops ! There are no words to describe it. It would be in your best interest to come to the Solstice Boogie one time and do the Glacier jump. You will not be dissappointed.
-
Alaska has the absolute best scenery I've ever been around. YOu will NOT be dissappointed.
-
i've got many pics like that myself ! Unfortunately, pics don't exactly have the same meaning as being here. Hell Bill, I didn't even know who you were last year. We'll have to hook up this year if you are coming up.
-
Yep, the glacier is still here. Quite a few of them. The glacier in question is Colony Glacier and Knik Glacier on the other side of the lake. That is the COOLEST jump ever ! You haven't seen a beautiful jump until you've done that one ! I'll be looking for you BIll ! Blue Skies and Semper Fi's

you are not gonna come up???? You know how nice it is up here..... best kept secret. I was in Ohio last week and was hoping to get a coupla jumps in over the weekend, but we had 18 inches of snow just 2 days after it was in the 80's ! People seem to think that Alaska is a cold and desolate place. They don't realize that we have a lot better weather than some places in the lower 48. Hell...we had half the snowfall as Ohio this year and the temps pretty much stayed around the 20's to 30's. Can't beat that.....unless of course, you are living someplace tropical. I will be sure I tell them hello for you. Blue skies and Semper Fi's, JOHN
-
Too bad you won't be in town for the Boogie. I've jumped in 20 states and so far, the best scenery by far. The jump plane flies around mountain peaks on the way to altitude. Make sure you try to get up this way if you can... blue skies, John

That is right...Alaska has hit in the 70's! I know that you all probably live somewhere warm already, but this is great. This just means that Skydiving season has started again ! ! ! ! Yahoo ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! It was 74 degrees in Wasilla today, supposed to be around 65 to 70 all weekend. Gonna get my first jumps of the season in on Saturday if all goes well.! ! ! ! BLue skies, and Semper Fi's

My GF's daughter was sleeping over her new friends house for the first time and of course I asked her the address, phone number, and the name of the adults that were living there. I was bored the same night and was surfing the internet. Seeing as how I'm in a new neighborhood, I looked under the Alaska Sex Offenders website. I was curious who may live around me.... needless to say that I found out that the home that my gf's daughter was staying at had a sex offender living in it. He was found guilty of 1st degree rape. Needless to say, that she is no longer sleeping over her friend's house ! You just may be surprised who lives around you.... Blue skies and Semper Fi's JC

alaska is a little on the slushy nasty side right now. Instead of rock salting the roads, they use sand and volcanic ash....

sweet living room. When is the party and how should i Rsvp? Lemme know.

Here are both of my skydiving license plates. Even though I moved to Alaska 8 months ago, I hate the thought of having to register my vehicles up here. I'm going to miss these plates... sniff.....snifff....
