The only bad thing about teaching my "trunk" to take peanuts out of people's hands is that it is always trying to shove them up my asshole. I think I've convinced it that i am an elephant !

Sweet costumes. Listen...i could use the elephant one if you want to loan it to me. I already can impress Connie by taking peanuts out of her hand with it.

i just strap a miner's light to my scwanzer, and i go spelunking myself. blues

Sorry...due to the recent travel restrictions dished out by the TSA, we weren't allowed to bring a weed-whacker onto the airplane. Blues....

We (myself and Connie) finally made it to a nude beach. It was a little embarassing. But the sun/vibes/party atmosphere were awesome! Here is a pic of Connie and I on a beach just south of Cancun. "Life is not measured by the amount of breaths we take...but by the moments that take our breath away"

I belong to CSPC (home DZ). CSPC is very laid back. No real cliques (except of course freeflying vs. the bellyflyer thing). No problem finding a group to jump with. I've never been to Aerohio even though it is only half the distance as CSPC from me. I've heard that it is not as "homey" and laid back as CSPC. I've heard that from quite a few people so I tend to still make the hour drive to CSPC. That is just hearsay though, so i can't comment on exactly what Aerohio is like. Bob Gates at CSPC is about as professional as they come. His DZ has been in his family since the 50's. Give both the DZ's a try. I'm sure you will make your mind up rather quickly. Where are you planning on moving to in Cleveland. Let me know and I can steer you in the right direction as far as living arrangements (location to the city). Also, what job are you going to be doing here in Cleveland. Lemme know when you are coming in and I will Get a weekend off and show you around. I woke up this morning and was driving to work, when I noticed that the temp gauge in my car said -11 degrees. 11 BELOW ZERO ! ! ! Damn ! Get me out of here. The low today in Cleveland was 14 below zero. The high temp was a whopping 11 degrees above zero. I want to jump soooooo bad, but i'm not that stupid ! Anybody ever jump in these kind of temps before???

Congrats on the publication. In reference to Playboy... i had my picture published by playboy last year (yes...a skydiving pic). It was the November 2001 issue. Page 18, if anybody wants to check it out. And by the way... Playboy is cheap. They wouldn't even give me the trip to the mansion that i wanted ! No T-shirt either ! ! ! BUt hey, at least it is published on the same page as a naked chick !!!! Life is not measured by the amount of breaths we take, but by the moments that takes our breath away.

Very good point. I am a police officer. I don't agree with shooting the dog. I am a dog lover/animal lover. But, we weren't there. As for the felony stop...they performed it correctly...handcuffs, gunpoint, doors open. The people that are "arguing" the point of "they were the wrong people" obviously have never been in this situation. This happened to me about 2 months ago. I'm on patrol, i get a call from the County dispatch saying that they just received a call about an armed carjacker stealing a van from somebody. The victim reported that he had a gun. The victim gave us the description of the van, and the license plate. About 2 minutes later, "the" van passes me. I make a felony stop. I order him out of the van at gunpoint, while another deputy cuffs him and pulls him back. At that point, another officer and i had to go up and "clear" the van to make sure nobody else was in it. The doors are left open for officer safety so we can see into the vehicle as we approach it to make sure nobody is laying down in the backseat with a gun (and yes....that has happened, that is where the procedure comes from). Turns out, that the guy we cuffed was innocent, and the call came from a prank caller. We let the guy go. That is what happened. This is what could have happened if we did it the way that people who've never walked in my shoes would do it. Same call....same van...same situation. This time, I walk up to the van. Approach the driver and "ask him if he is armed and planning on shooting me". Either A: he pulls his weapon over the top of his door frame and shoots me in the head. Or B: he says "oh no officer...i'm not a carjacker". And then i let him leave. Unless you have ever walked in a police officers shoes, don't criticize him for proper protocol. I myself do not believe the dog should have been shot unless it was attacking the officers. I do believe that they followed protocol to a tee and performed the "felony stop" correctly. Those officers want to go home at night without getting killed by taking stupid chances. I for one wonder why people constantly put down police officers, but the minute they need one....who are they calling? I'm done. I'm walking away from this argument either. He said it best when describing the jumper/nonjumper scenario. You'll never know unless you've been there.

I spent a few months in Cuba in the early 90's. You're right. Big fence separating Gitmo from the rest of Cuba. You look across 100 yards of nothing to your "mirror" (Cuban with an AK-47). There is no "honey" that your husband could've gotten with. With the exception of the Navy/Coast Guard women that are stationed there. THe water was EXCELLENT for scuba and snorkel. But the climate sucks. Its as barren as a desert, but extremely muggy and buggy. FRankly...the place sucked. hey y'all...i'll add my boobie pic also. I'm sure that there won't be any complaints.

Hey brother...sorry it took so long to take your back, but work called. I myself support you wholeheartedly. It seems as the bleeding heart liberals have nothing better to do than to nitpick and throw out false information about the U.S. and her commendable history. Sure is weird that the people who seem to be the least educated about America are the same people who reside outside our beloved U.S. They have no idea what patriotism is. If America is so bad....why is everybody trying to move into our little area of the world? I myself refuse to type any lengthy message that will be nitpicked to death by a bunch of people from other nations that "depend" on U.S. assistance everytime something brews up in their country...(i.e. hunger, disease, war, economy problems, etc.). I think i will become President and that way I can snub everybody that ever gave us the finger. The U.S. earned that right. Its a shame how we go out of our way to support other nations before we support our own starving, poor residents first. Its not so much a shame that we help these nations to survive...but that in the end...they snub us and talk down to us. As for the worst offenders on this discussion about the greatness of the U.S.....don't worry Quartorze....they seem to support the terrorists so much that they will probably strap an explosive on their own belly and then we don't have to listen to them anymore. SEMPER FI Aggie, Quartorze, and every other patriotic American. God Bless. I refuse to acknowledge any other unappreciative individual on this post. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. ! ! ! !

yes...we have been the only ones to use the A-bomb. It was a VERY necessary evil. By using it, we stopped the war (WWII) which obviously would've killed millions more innocent lives (american and Japanese). We have already touched on that subject though. I also agree that the Saudi Arabian Gov't is our ally, but i can attest that the people don't really like us very much. And for you to question whether i've been there???!?!?!?! Saudi Arabia with 3/6. kuwait. Korea, Japan, Thailand, Spain, England, France, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Qutar, Yemen, Austrailia, Phillipines, Cuba and the good ole USA. There is my resume. What is yours? And the U.S. never gets praise. We feed the world, we defend the defenseless, we saved Kuwait from Iraq. We saved France from Germany. Sure we failed at Vietnam...but how much thanks did the U.S. get. It doesn't matter what the world's opinions of the U.S. is. Just like my opinions and your opinions don't mean a thing in the big picture. Either way...the U.S. will always (well...most of the time) be there when another country screams "Police ! ! !" I don't necessarily agree with our foreign policy. But we are, and have ALWAYS been the world's Policemen. We never get a thanks. kuwait is even hedging on backing us up in Iraq. And this is "after" we saved their country and gave it back to them. We gave American servicemen's lives for that country 12 years ago, and now they don't want to help us. By the way...who told you that Iraq was about Oil. Did you read it in the paper? Yeah...I always believe what the papers say (sarcasm). I suppose you went through Saddam's palaces and personally have checked to make sure they don't have WMD? Remember...after the U.N.-backed war in 91, the U.N. (not the U.S.) posted the United Nations Resolutions on Iraq. When Iraq failed to comply, the U.N. screwed up by not following through with their own resolutions. America has taken the reins, and the UN ,and led them by the hand to show them what Iraq is/ might be doing. The UN IS the world Gov't. The UN created another resolution in this case. Why do you think it is America that is starting the war with Iraq? We are the people that happen to be enforcing what the UN already dictated back in 91. The U.S. isn't doing anything wrong. Why is it that the UN jumped on "our" side when our UN ambassador presented the facts to them on why we should confront Saddam? The UN Security COuncil decided that something was to be done about Iraq. Not just the U.S. Do you really believe that the UN sat around NYCity and said " yes, i believe the U.S. should attack Iraq because they need the oil" ?!?!? The UN obviously knows something we don't know. You also stated that you read "in the news" that this is about Oil. Well guess what. 20 minutes ago on the news, they said that Elvis may still be alive too. Are you going to believe that one??? And sometimes war is inevitable. It is the ONLY course of action. Do you really think that servicemen/women "want" to go to war????? We are the ones who despise war the most. Because we've been there! I hate to tell you...but sitting around a table and "talking" to terrorists isn't going to stop them from attacking us. The terrorists are martyrs and they are heroes when they die for their cause. Do you really believe if we sit down to dinner with them we will work out our differences. The big difference is terrorism goes after civilian targets. Men, women, and children. The US goes after terrorists and military targets. I don't ever recall the U.S. saying..."hey...there's a nursery school. Lets blow the shit out of it just for fun!". Yes there are civilian casualties every now and then. But at least we don't target civilians on purpose. And i do believe the U.S. servicemen have a better insight into the workings of the U.S. and its freedom than the average civilian. Sure there are some civilians that are on the ball and follow what goes on in the world. But I would definitely say that since we put our "LIVES" on the line for this country we appreciate the freedom and understand what it means more than somebody who has never had to live in a foxhole with bullets or arty plinking in around us. I'm not saying we are "better" then anybody else, but obviously we are much more patriotic then somebody who constantly bashes our nation and our gov't and complains that they want freedom. The same people who scream for freedom (and DEMAND it) are usually the ones who never served. Typical lobbyist stuff. This is not meant to offend anybody, but somebody offended me by questioning my resume about where and what i did. What is your resume? I consider myself an authority in freedom. I fought for it and you have the gall to question the manner in which i respectfully provided it to you??? I don't know your history, but When i was laying in the sand, i know there were alot of people laying at home nice and sound under their electric blankets. Opinions is what is so good about this country. Other countries we would be shot for even discussing this stuff (CHina, to name one). I'm done with this post. Biggest going-out night of the year !

*** I put this in here to answer your question of why these people hate America. If you are still shaken by the horrifying scenes of September 11, please observe a moment of silence for the 3,000 civilian lives lost in the New York, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania attacks. While we're at it, let's have 13 minutes of silence for the 130,000 Iraqi civilians killed in 1991 by order of President Bush Sr. Take another moment to remember how Americans celebrated and cheered in the streets. Now another 20 minutes of silence for the 200,000 Iranians killed by Iraqi soldiers using weapons and money provided to young Saddam Hussein by the American government before the great eagle turned all its power against Iraq. Another 15 minutes of silence for the Russians and 150,000 Afghans killed by the Taliban troops who were supported and trained by the CIA. Plus 10 minutes of silence for 100,000 Japanese killed in Hiroshimaand. Nagasakiby the Atomic bombs dropped by the USA. We've just kept quiet for one hour: one minute for the Americans killed in NY, DC, and Pennsylvania, 59 minutes for their victims throughout the world. If you are still in awe, let's have another hour of silence for all those killed in Vietnam, which is not something Americans like to admit. Or for the massacre in Panamain 1989, where Americans troops attacked poor villagers, leaving 20,000 Panamanians homeless and thousands more dead. Or for the millions of children who have died because of the USA embargoes on Iraq and Cuba. Or the hundreds of thousands brutally murdered throughout the world by USA-sponsored civil wars and coups d'etat (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, El Salvadorto name a few). Maybe, and although the memory of Americans claims otherwise, someone may remember the USA attack on Baghdad where 18,000 civilians were killed. Did someone see it on CNN? Was justice ever served? Or was there even any retaliation? We hope that Americans finally begin to understand their vulnerability and the cowardly attacks and other tragedies that they have been caused around the world. I believe that Baghdad asked for it when they killed thousands of Kuwaiti citizens. An eye for an eye....
